Wow Baldelli batting 9th? I see Lou wants him to get more comfortable with the bat since he's struggling this year.

Bulls***! Bulls***! Bulls***! That drivel that Mariotti wrote is pure unadulterated bulls***. Frank was responding, honestly, to a reporters question. Mariotti twisted the words to suit his own purpose. Then he had the audacity to say that Maggs is not nogiating in the press, yet I've seen several quotes from him about his contract situation. The only comment from Kenny about the negotiations is that he doesn't negotiate in the press. This, in fact, is one of the most twisted one-sided irresponsible columns Mariotti has ever written.

THat sounds like 2 winners to me.
Ditto.

Valenzuela is his home country. He visits there during the offseason for charity and such. He lives in Miami though with his wife and kids.

Mark Prior is a star
Give me a couple more productive/injury-free years outta him, then we'll call him a star. The other names I agree with since they've done it for so many years. Prior just finished his first full season last year and your calling him a star..? He will be but he is by no means a star...... yet.

As they say, if it ain't broken, don't fix it.
Man I'm glad Ozzie's runnin the ship. We all know Manuel's motto: If it's fixed, you better break it..

Nine numbers have been retired by the Chicago White Sox: No. 2 (Nellie Fox); 3 (Harold Baines); 4 (Luke Appling); 9 (Minnie Minoso); 11 (Luis Aparicio); 16 (Ted Lyons); 19 (Billy Pierce); 72 (Carlton Fisk) and 42 (Jackie Robinson, retired by all Major League clubs).
Get ready to add Frank's number to that list when he retires..

I call him Shoey but that's just how I say it.

No question in my mind. Uribe at Short, Harris on Second.
That is most likely for next year and the next couple years till Valido comes up. I wouldn't mind a DP combo at all with Uribe and Harris.

Alittle shacky outing for McCarthy but 0 Wlks and 10 K's is very impressive. F. Castro continues to progress and Brice I see had a good game.

Does this put the Flubbs under 500 again?
Unfortunitely not. They are 6-5 but in 3rd place

Cubs Get Cheated By Umpire
By Jay Mariotti

BTW, can these threads be merged? I can't stand too many cub threads on Sports Bar LoL.
-
Here's hoping for a 1-2-3 9th.
-
I can understand Wood's rage. I'm surprised he didn't puch the ump cause the pitch to Dunn was a third strike. Then the dumb ass fans throw s*** as usual.. Way to Go Willy Mo Pena!!!
-
He'll probably be remembered as the 2nd greatest Bull in History, but no way Micheal and the Bulls could have won those 6 championships w/o him.
-
Don't Worry Cw, I'm sure there will be someone who will do the PBP for you here.. it won't be the same, but at least you'll know what's going on.

Wow, I went back and looked and I was the only person in the YNOT to pick Tampa to win the series.
If I were posting on that day, I would have agreed with you..
-
If he misses the season, it will be very sad to see it happen to such a talent like him. If he weren't pitching for the cubs, I would feel even worse for him. O well, he has to move on then, or try to battle back thru it.

Sweet Lou was just interviewed by Hawk. What a guy, he was complimenting our club and he loves Chicago. He likes his club as well even in a tough division.
