  1. The good thing about tomorrow is that with Wakefield pitching tomorrow that means no Jason Varitek, that is a huge part of their lineup, I am really suprised they didn't switch to Schilling for game 3
  2. Does anybody think Oz should move Rowand into the 3 hole for Friday's game with his career against Wakefield 10 for 14 with 4 homers.
  3. My #1 key is DO NOT let Ortiz beat you in the late innings, I don't care if that means walking him to get to Manny.
  4. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) I'll tell ya, the only thing that goes against Jugg's post is that Marte will HAVE to get a lefty vs. lefty out in a game - who else do you go to? Neal for some reason unbeknownst to all of us doesn't get the call. Hard hard choices here. Does anybody know Marte's career numbers vs. Ortiz?
  5. Jose is 2-0 against Boston while wearing a White Sox uniform one of those was last year in Fenway just weeks after he was tatooed by the Red Sox in a Yankee uniform.
  6. QUOTE(VAfan @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) 1. 7/21. Sox lose 6-5 at home. Buehrle can't hold lead v. Clement, but Vizcaino gets loss. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...=.jsp&team=home 2. 7/22. Sox win 8-4. 6 run 6th off Wakefield backs strong outing by Garland. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...=.jsp&team=home 3. 7/23. Sox lose 3-0. El Duque pitches well, but do nothing with Wade Miller (is he even around anymore?). http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...=.jsp&team=home 4. 7/24. Sox win 6-4. Contreras bests Arroyo. Bullpen, except Marte, is great. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...=.jsp&team=home Note: Marte gives up runs in 2 of 4 games. 5. 8/12. Sox lose 9-8 at Fenway. Wells bests Buehrle. Jenks gets tagged for 3 run homer by Ortiz. Sox 9th inning rally falls a run short. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...=.jsp&team=away 6. 8/13. Sox lose 7-4. Garland beaten soundly by Wakefield. Second time around was worse for us and better for them. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...=.jsp&team=away 7. 9/3 makeup. Sox win 5-3. McCarthy pitches 7 innings of 3-hit shutout ball. Jenks again gives up 3 ninth inning runs, but this time none are earned. Schilling is the loser. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...=.jsp&team=away *********************** Some observations. 1. We need to score at least 4 runs to win. We held them to 3 runs twice, but otherwise they scored 6, 4, 4, 9, and 7. 2. Jenks may be nervous because they hit him; Marte also consistently got hit. I hope Ozzie looks at these box scores and used Cotts, Politte, Hermanson, and El Duque out of the pen, and McCarthy if he makes the team. 3. Buehrle didn't fool them either time. We need Contreras and Garcia to come through. All this stuff above means nothing the slate is wiped clean, both teams should not even think about what happened in the past It's go time
  7. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 03:11 AM) GLOAD!!! GETTING OFF THE SCHNIDE!! D.J. was right, Ross has seen a ton of pitches tonight and it helped him get back in the rhythm. Is that you posting DJ
  8. I never had a chance to post but I would of s*** myself if Willie had a go ahead homer
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 03:02 AM) So, how about Rally Crede showing up? How about Rally Blum
  10. Sox got a break on that one. Why didn't Joe just go to first?
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) I believe we already clinched it with Boston's win tonight anyway. i'm not sure though. The Sox still have to win one.
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 02:44 AM) So we gonna use the whole pen tonite? Even Baj and Kernal Sanders
  13. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 02:42 AM) If there's a tribetalk, they probably need all the choke avatars. I looked last week for a Indians message board and could not find one.
