  1. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 02:36 AM) This was the hardest stretch of the season (6 vs NYY, 6 vs MIN, and 3 vs BOS). Record so far: 3-9 Here are the remaining games and opponents. 3 vs SEA 4 vs TEX 8 vs DET 3 vs LAA 6 vs KC 6 vs CLE 8 vs MIN We may need to play that BOS game after all. The bad part is 14 games left vs CLE and MIN! Whats our record vs the division I remember a month ago it was 31-5 it has to be somthing like 34-15 by now.
  2. Don't think this is gonna end anytime soon after they get swept by Minny they go to seattle where they have almost played as bad as they do in Oakland and then Texas where we cannot match them run for run. So my prediction is by the time they return to ther Cell the lead will only be 2 games.
  3. Freddy Anybody who swings a bat on the Sox :fyou :fyou
  4. Game Over the great collapse of 05 has begun. We were one lucky inning Sunday away from a nine game losing streak.
  5. IF Pk doesn't do it forget about it the way Rowand is hitting.
  6. Why do you take Iguchi out he has been one of our best clutch hitters all year.
  7. Which Twin breaks up the NO-NO? I predict a Lew Ford swinging bunt down 3rd base.
  8. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:53 AM) LeCroy scares me here. Jones is the only one in that lineup that scares me.
  9. What a great game going on if this was a Red Sox-Yankees game it would be on Espn Classic next week.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:20 AM) I'm getting sick and tired of the Indians coming back in all these games where they're down by 4 or 5 runs. This is what happens when you play the Royals and D-Rays
  11. Is Nathan Available tonight? I know he has pitched the last two days.
  12. Come on AJ make your old team pay nevermind he grounded out.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) I just thought of this: This game reminds me even more of recent August collapses against the Twins because it's another game where our power goes silent. How many times the last few years did we just get shut down by the Twins since we couldn't hit homers? Also, how many times would they get big homers from guys like J. Jones? Thankfully, we have a huge lead on them. Has anybody ever caught this trend the last few years against the Twins the last two years where early in the year we would knock Radke around 1 or two starts but come August or september he would just dominate us.
  14. QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) its already been established by hawk that griffey has nowhere to play on this team Who the hell is Hawk the GM? Oh wait they tried that once and he set the Franchise back 5 years.
  15. Well the Twins just won the game. That would be two much for the Sox to get three runs in one game. They need to get Griffey because if they go into the playoffs with this team I see a quick three games and done.
  16. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:44 AM) Yep and he won't walk a batter all night would be my guess too. Don't worry the Sox think talking walks are bad.
  17. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Bruce Levine keeps mentioning Dimitri Young. Why the hell do we want Young he is the same thing as Carl Everett.
  18. I know it is early but with the big lead I will talk about it anyways. How should Ozzie setup the playoff rotation. With the first two games at home I would start MB and Garland in games 1&2 they are the only starters who pitch good at The Cell then games 3&4 Freddy and El Duque who have big game Experience and pitch well on the road and if there is a game 5 back at the Cell you can go with MB unless they are playing the A's then go with Garland because he has the only two wins against the A's this year.
