Please no DP -
WTF is going on? Last night I was at the bar celebrating a friends birthday and I look up and see the Sox are up 9-4 so I say cool another win. We head over to another bar where the only have 1 TV and the Scrubs game was on but I did not care because I figured the Sox had the game won, I ended up getting really drunk came home and passed out. Anyways for some strange reason I woke up at 4:30 this morning so I turned on the TV and the replay was on and it just started the bottom of the ninth and I turn it on right in time to watch Berroa's hit to end the game, I am still sitting here two hours later wondering how the f*** do you blow a five run lead to a AAA team (minus Mike Sweeney). This is it folks the Sox are not going to the playoffs the Indians just wont lose and the Sox just keep getting worse as the season comes to an end. I would feel better about the division lead if they were up more than Six games on Cleveland which is how many more times they play them. I just have that feeling we will be telling our kids and grandkids about the great collapse of 2005 just like my grandpa tells me about the Cubs in 1969.

QUOTE(Hermanson32 @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 02:31 AM) I watched the game and it appeared to me like the Indians might have a slump coming on? Wow that would be great. They have been hitting for so long, I wouldn't be shocked. Maybe a slump for three against Oakland then KC goes into Cleveland for the Weekend they are definate slumpbusters.

I remember a thread like this way back in the day when they were up 15 games. I they hang on to home field they should go MB and JG games 1 and 2 they are the only two of the five starters that have pitched well at home this year then go FG and The Count games 3&4. I am convinced that Duques arm is done for the year and he should pitch out of the Pen.

What happened in the Florida State game? they were two minutes till halftime tied at 10 and I leave, comeback and they are up 62-10 in the 4th. Well anyways go Noles. BTW did anybody see the SIU score it was something like 82-10. -
What about Milwaukee? I would rather them travel to Milwaukee than Pittsburgh since it is closer, I think that Cardinals series will be a blast I am going to try to go to one of them.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 11:46 PM) MLB debut for that guy. He can't wait to take the mound if I'm that guy. 7 1/3 4H 2ER 1BB 6K That's my guess. The guy is probaly standing on the mound right now.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) 3 in a row buddy. That's after winning 5 of 6. That 5 of 6 was after a SEVEN game losing streak

Is that pitcher in the night cap making is MLB debut? If so we are f***ed. we will lose a full game to the Indians today without them playing.

QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) Seriously what will it take for KW to realize we need another bat??? When he is watching the Indians celebrate the division title after beating us on the last Saturday this year at Jacobs field.

QUOTE(WSNS-TV44 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) Yeah,but we're talking the ones we see every year,like the Angels,the A's,the Mariners,and even the Rangers (although not on the coast,they're still trouble in Arlington). But all that changes today! Correct me if im wrong but we play good in Arlington it seems like we win a series out there every year. BTW I don't consider Arlington west coast since they are in the same time zone as Chicago. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:24 AM) OK....I will be livid if Rowand isn't brought in to hit here. Rowand is very good against lefties. Please Ozzie, find it in your heart to replace Timo! Rowand right now can't hit water if he fell out of a boat. -

Big surprise another k with a runner on base -
No hope what so ever I am a Chicago fan. For most of my life my Grandpa told me about the collapse of 69 by the CUBS him being a Cub fan. Maybe in 20 years if I have children I can tell them about 2005 and how the Sox choked away a bigger lead.
