  1. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) I didn't see *most* of the game last night, did Thomas really go yard? http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...ex.jsp?c_id=cws Watch to the right.
  2. Schmidt makes more $$ that his production dictates so far this season.
  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) I'm gonna add the ones in bold. Ensberg I feel is not an option, A-Rod is not an option, Mike Lowell sucks and I'm gonna stick with 3rd baseman so I'm going to say no to Texeira because its been a few years since he's played 3rd. I was just throwing out people who's name I've seen speculated here in the last few weeks.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:37 PM) Joe Randa Eric Chavez Vinny Castilla Rob Mackowiak Ryan Freel Shea Hillenbrand Pedro Feliz I'm I missing any names? Edgardo Alfonzo Aubrey Huff Morgan Ensberg Alex Rodriguez Mike Lowell Sean Burroughs Mark Texeira
  5. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) Does that mean I can get back up on my soapbox and cry for Chavez some more???? Whatever works for you, man.
  6. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) perhaps we should change the thread title to edgar alfonzo to the white sox Actually, maybe the thread should be called "More Discussion on the Sox's 3b Issue".
  7. QUOTE(farmteam @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:14 PM) If I were into that sort of thing, I'd run around in my thong flaunting myself while sreaming "Yippeee!". But I'm not, so I won't. Thank God. :finger
  8. That banner sucks, though.
  9. I'm against trading Crede right now; however, I'm also against him playing full time. I mean, even a career AAA guy like Ozuna is making him look bad at the plate. Bench him, use him as a pinch hitter, then trade him in the offseason. Get someone else in there to take the majority of the ABs this year. Crede is one of the "corpseball" holdovers that the Sox need to relieve themselves of in order to play better smartball.
  10. Happy B-Day fellas!
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) so we can throw in some worthless players for a starting player?? come on. I dont see Feliz as an upgrade to Crede anyway, this team is built on pitching and defense people, stop trying to add instand offense, the trade has to also make sense for both team, why would the Giants want to get rid of some of their more productive players for less productive players, how does that benefit them? Alfonzo is expendable for SF. He is getting older and SF knows that they need youth and speed to make a run in the future. The Giants are done this year, why not take a flyer on Ed Al and see what Sabean would want?
  12. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) and throw in timo :rolly Edit: when is the trade deadline July 31.
  13. No one else thinks that Alfonzo is worth a look-see? 3.5 mill + Alfonzo for Willie and a low SP minor leaguer might do it.
  14. Think before you type. It seems simple, but it is pretty universal.
  15. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Would you really want an official connection to the White Sox? It's not what you or I want, it's what $$$ is needed by Jas, etc. to keep the site going.
  16. You know... I was talking to witesoxfan awhile back on AOL IM... I suggested to him that Jas, etc. may enforce a stricter language filter some day if Brooks and the Sox want to sponsor us more. That day could come.
  17. I'd take Alfonzo if they pay a portion of his salary. 2b/3b - solid D - nice hitting average.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) About 8 months ago we had several players lurking and they were totally turned off by some of the lauguage here.. Like they never curse.
  19. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) Boxing insider? Hey, I hotlinked... I'm not photoshopping anymore for just kicks you know.
  20. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:13 PM) Feliz would be a great addition to the Sox team. Is he eligible for salary arb next year that might be the reason the Giants might want to trade him I don't believe so. That's why the speculation is semi-ridiculous.
  21. Timo & Walker for Feliz
  22. Feliz=too valuable to SF to trade. He plays LF, 3b, SS, 1b and will probably lead them in HRs this year.
  23. They beat UCLA when freshman Samantha Findlay (of Lockport, IL) hit a three-run homer in the 10th inning to give the Wolverines a 4-1 win. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=2080662 On a side note, Findlay kept me riveted as she ran around the bases like she stole 2 casabas from a fruit stand.
  24. QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:42 PM) And if Kenny is so great, how come we haven't made the postseason in the s***ty central since the Nixon administration? I'm sure that you are exaggerating here. Since the Central didn't exist until 1994 and the Sox won it in 2000.
