I hope that whatever plans that you have go well for you and that everyone involved in those plans has a wonderful time.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 10:49 PM) Closers are a dime a dozen. If you participate in fantasy baseball, as I know you do, you already know this. Yes, again I agree. You keep arguing with me, yet we are arguing on the same side of the argument.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) That doesn't sound like bad numbers for a qb either. He got 130yds passing vs the Bears last week and ran for 40yds with a TD.

I guess the main question that you ask is, do you want to use a very young starter-quality power lefty who was a top 10 pick as your closer, as opposed to a more veteran reliever who is not starter material?

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 10:18 PM) lot of ifs Fantasy football is filled with "if"s. He's classified as a WR, yet can get passing AND rushing yards. That's a fact.

QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) He sucks so much ass its not even funny. If he throws just one TD, gets 130yds passing and runs for 50 yards with a TD, he'd get twice the points of an average flex player.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) Unless your name is Mariano Rivera and maybe a healthy Bill Wagner, you always take the premium starter over a premium closer. It's A LOT easier to find a guy that can record 3 outs than it is a guy that can record 21-24 outs. Exactly.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) Huh? Being a reliever shortens a guy's career? An effective closer has a smaler window where they are dominant than a starter (where you don't have to be as dominant every time out in order to stay a starter).
-
I'd rather have the kid as a starter. He has a 10-15 year career as an effective starter. As a effective closer, it's only maybe 7-10.

Week 16 Tip: Pick up Minnesota QB Joe Webb and play him at WR. Easy points.

Carolina is James Stewart and a college team. Yikes. This could get ugly.

Iowa could be in there too. -
Defensively, the Raiders have everything to slow down a depleted Colts offense. - Solid pass D, a good pass rush, and speed. Offensively, the Raiders have everything that the Colts' D can't handle. Play action passing, a power running game with a lot of speed, and depth to exploit the Colts in the 3rd quarter, when they give up their most points. If the Colts don't go into halftime with the lead, it will be very dificult for them to win on Sunday.

QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 04:45 PM) Jesus Mike.. time has taken off. Happy B-Day to one of my boys here. Yeah. He was 14 when we started posting here.

As a home underdog, I went with the Raiders and the points. It'll be closer than people think.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 02:22 PM) Hey Knight, who you like tonight? I'm thinking Carolina +14.5 and over 37. The Steelers are not the same without Polamalu and Jonthan Stewart has been running the ball with some effectiveness recently. I think they'll be able to score some points tonight, although not a ton...maybe 17 or so. The Steelers have been unable to score much at all recently. I think they'll have some more success tonight because Carolina has no pass rush, and Mendenhall should be able to run the ball well, but I don't expect an offensive explosion or anything. I am thinking 24-17 or something along those lines. Carolina's offense has been getting better and Pittsburgh has been iffy health-wise. 14.5 is a lot of points to cover. If I had to pick, I'd say that your thoughts are as good as any on this game.

Gulliver's Travels looks like ass.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) Quentin's defense. That's what's wrong with it. Quentin's defense in left would be negligible if his plantar fasciitis is better. It's his RF D that is more of a concern.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 10:24 PM) Why? I'd rather have a Pierre-Gardner-Rios OF than a Gardner-Rios-Quentin OF, wouldn't you? What's wrong with Quentin-Gardner-Rios? Pierre is overrated.

I'd love either of those guys, but they'd have to move CQ first.

I'd dispute the statement that the Dolphins aren't popular. Their clothing is easily the most popular in the AFC East if they even sniff the playoffs.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 07:28 PM) How much basketball have you played with or against men OR women at the college level? How much time have you spent watching women's college B-Ball at the D1 level, in person? And I see you moved the goal posts. Mid-level team is now a district final team. A midlevel team is 14-16 games won. They aren't top 25 in their school ranking or in the state or regional finals. I'm talking about a team that makes the playoffs and plays in the districts. None of those kids will attend division I schools on a basketball scholarship. I went to an NAIA division II school with a very good men's team and they would have beaten UConn Women easily. Of course these guys won either the NAIA or NCCAA championship every year that I was there... I have watched women's division I on TV and I find it lacking in athletic skill comparitively to the men's game enough that I will not watch it very often. Me personally, I was never more than a gym player in my "prime"; but, I outplayed every former high school or low level college girl - with my minimal skills - that I ever played in the gym.
