The way the Hawks look now is they are on a permanent PK...they just look horrible out there. Van is just out working them.

After looking at what LA gave up for Penner...they got desperate...

So LA and Columbus get better and the Hawks get nothing as of yet....

Only way this deal makes any sense is if the plan is to have him take Leddy's spot... and they need to find a real dman

That is exactly what he is.. the opposite of what the Hawks need.. no idea wtf Stan is thinking with this deal I would have rather seen Konopka for that 2nd....

ASSETS: Is extremely mobile and very polished when in possession of the puck. Can make up for his mistakes with his speed. Has some offensive ability. FLAWS: Needs to work on his defensive-zone coverage, which is spotty at best. Struggles when he has to lay on the body, and can get manhandled in front of his own net. CAREER POTENTIAL: Mobile defenseman with consistency issues.

Yeah looks like nothing came out of that.. which I am glad for.. would hate to deal Seabrook even though he has been bad this year...still would rather keep him.

TIFWIW here but there is a rumor from various sources I seen on Stuy's board that Seabrook could be dealt to the Oilers after the game...this is the actual post on there... "Just got off the phone with Stuy who is in his car, and he is hearing from a number of sources that Seabrook will be traded to Edm after tomorrow night's game. There is NO confirmation on this, but it's coming out on multiple web sites. The biggest source so far is Sportsnet's Roger Millions who covers the Oilers, who has said He's heard it's a done deal. NO idea yet on who might be coming back from Edm, but both Stuy and I said we feared the same thing...Penner first, but then either Hemsky or Gagner (Kane connection) after that."

Frolik is much better than Skille....but he doesn't answer any of the problems the Hawks have since he is very soft and doesn't like to play in his own end. However I believe the real prize is Salak...
