There are three types of Trump supporter: 1) Proud alt-right neo-nazi white supremacists 2) Economically disenfranchised working class folks 3) White people who don't realize they're white supremacists, but are subconsciously terrified of the changing American culture that includes space for marginalized communities to have a voice and power where they never had it before, so they feel like they're LOSING market share, and want to fight back. Because of this, they'll rationalize and believe literally anything Fox News, conservative pundits, and Trump himself say because those things support and validate their fear. This dude falls into category 3.

Also, re: Net Neutrality: Let's be crystal clear about something. If nothing else demonstrates it, this vote today does: Democrats are the party that fights for the American People, for democracy, for fairness, and for justice. Republicans are fighting for their own corporate special interests, and to make themselves richer. That's it. This vote couldn't make that more obvious, given that 86% of ALL AMERICANS support net neutrality. The GOP is simply not reflecting the will of the people - they're reflecting the will of corporations. And I think this is something that's going to haunt them in this election cycle. Net neutrality Healthcare/entitlements Economy (tax cuts) These are the issues that will sink the GOP this cycle as things heat up.

538 had an interesting article about how the far left had a great night over the more traditionally viable Dems, and the GOP had a good night for selecting the most electable candidates for the fall, and not going full-Trump. Interesting to see how that impacts the general elections. Basically, the GOP are running their best candidates, and the Dems are running their most ideological.
