  2. that bat doesnt break and that's a homer... *sigh*
  3. hawk there's no such thing as a can of corn for pods.
  4. at least we're showing we can hit the guy... a little. hopefully it carries over.
  5. i not only predict, but would LIKE a DL stint for Q. I get it, you're competitive, but heal your flippin' foot, THEN get all angry about missing time and hit a few homers.
  6. alright, i did my research and it's between:
  7. PICTURES! i don't wanna do research
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 26, 2009 -> 09:51 AM) Were you reading the same game thread I was? For the first couple innings it was a mire of how bad everything on the team was, the whole team sucks, the world is falling apart, etc., etc. maybe i was just ignoring it
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 26, 2009 -> 08:09 AM) I know there was quite a bit of frustration with the guy last night, but I am going to swim against the flow here... Last night was as impressed with Danks as I have ever been. He literally had nothing last night. He couldn't keep his change from bouncing, his fastball was topping out at about ninety, and he didn't even try his curveball in the early innings. Somehow the kid managed to gut out six innings while only giving up 3 runs, dispite walking SIX guys. On paper it looks awful, in reality, we saw a real maturing last night. Anytime you can get a pitcher that young to suck up and make a quality start out of the stuff he had last night is amazing. Most pitchers wouldn't have stuck around long enough to get a QS out of that mess, but somehow Danks managed to fool just enough hitters to win that game. Especially with as large of a lead as he had, Danks could have just started grooving fastballs to get the hitters swinging, and get through innings, but he didn't. He pitched every single inning like it was a one run game. Danks looked like Mark Buehrle battling last night. He was just a sight to be watched. i actually didn't sense much frustration from the game thread at all... in fact, a couple of us were pulling for him to start and then finish the sixth because of how hard he was busting his butt out there. i love me some danksy.
  10. QUOTE (mr_genius @ May 25, 2009 -> 10:22 PM) corky has this guy totally rattled oops
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 25, 2009 -> 10:18 PM) No excuse to keep Danks in to go over 110 pitches. Anyways, I missed the hit by Fields. What was it? yes there is. i actually completely agree with both coop and hawk on this one. let the kid finish it, he worked his ass off
  12. QUOTE (kev211 @ May 25, 2009 -> 10:03 PM) It's sox read the quote above it YOU read the quote above it and tell me where it says SOX
  13. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 25, 2009 -> 09:59 PM) Wait... I just turned on the Sox game, what happened to Q?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :-O re: your sig... do you mean Viciedo will pass Thomas on the Sox all time list? cuz otherwise frank has 521 homers...
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 25, 2009 -> 09:57 PM) Question...who here would trade Josh Fields straight up for Howie Kendrick? in a heartbeat
  15. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 25, 2009 -> 09:34 PM) Nice to see SexRam coming around now. i'm not sure i've seen that nickname before.
  16. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 25, 2009 -> 09:31 PM) Robin Ventura is in attendance. In fact, he is sitting on the bench. Maybe he can kick Fields in the balls for me. can we sign him?
