  1. Hmm not really agreeing with these line up decisions.
  2. I just dont understand why Taj doesnt get out there sooner. I assume now hell be there and the bulls will start to play better defense and build back the lead.
  3. Korver needs to keep taking that shot whenever he gets it.
  4. j4l, Jordan played his last Olympics at the age of 29. Pippen played his last Olympics at the age of 31. Dirk played at 34 and did not play on a "Dream Team" so he had to actually play hard every game. So yes Pippen and Jordan did it when they were much younger, and Pippen after 96-97 only would play 1 season where he made 82 games. Jordan would never start a full season after he turned 34 (although he retired for a few years so hard to compare.) You can be hard on Dirk, but at 34 most NBA players start to wear down, let alone if they play an extra set of games.

Yeah Steve some of us have been on the Workaholics train from the beginning. About time you got on.
  6. J4l, Right but the reason is because he played in the Euro games. http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2012/...-championships/
  7. Isnt the reason Dirk isnt ready because he played for Germany in some Euro games over the summer?
  8. In other news the Heat lost to the Bucks, go figure.
  9. Its hard to tell because teams play such different styles in college. A lot of these guys look less talented because they get half a step less going to the basket, more contact, zones, etc.
  10. Then make the punishment for drunk driving more severe. Why punish people who dont commit a crime? I guarantee you that if drunk driving resulted in an automatic jail sentence of X years, no one would risk drunk driving. The problem is that the laws are only created to be enforced against those who cant afford to break them.
  11. Thats cool Thibs just quit on the team when they are down 12 with 5 minutes left and leave Scal in. The guy plays starters untl the bitter end when they have a 10+ lead, but when you have a chance to come back and win a big game, you just are cool with losing. f*** that.
  12. Yeah you can find a ton of back up PGs, personally I want the Bulls to draft Jordan Taylor with the last pick in the 2nd next year.
  13. His per should drop as the season continues. Its really early to be talking about it.
  14. Wisconsin has a small but talented class (for Wisconsin standards.) I guess well know more in 3 years.
  15. Why does anyone care? When can this thread go back to being about college basketball, because the NBA thread seems like a good place to discuss what NBA teams are lazy.
  16. Its not just the NCAA tournament. Being conference champion matters too and that is usually determined by 1 or 2 games.
  17. Balta, Its just a different connection. Professional teams winning is great, but nothing will ever compare to when Wisconsin went to the Final Four and being on State Street, or going to the Pep Rally on Friday night, rushing out onto Camp Randall Field and rubbing Dick Bennet's belly for good luck. Its not about the game, its about the teams I care for.
  18. In terms of the whole NBA/College thing, it seems that people who were fans of college basketball when they were in college, still enjoy it. Those who werent really fans during college, mainly care about NBA or NCAA tournament.
  19. My anecdotal memory is that Dee Brown did more in college, but that Williams had the better size for the next level.
  20. Gould, I live in Chicago, most of the people I know watch more college basketball. But then again, most of my friends went to large schools with big basketball programs.
  21. The NBA and College game are pretty different. In college you have many more system offenses and you dont just watch the same iso/screen every single possession. I like college basketball more than the NBA, it has nothing to do with talent. Some people like High School sports, I doubt they argue its because a HS player is better than a NBA player. If you enjoy watching a lot of different styles, you may enjoy college. If you like watching 3-4 plays run by the most talented players on the planet, youll probably like NBA.
  22. Strangesox, Dont get me wrong, I think you could write statutory laws that were better, unfortunately legislatures dont do a really good job of thinking before they act.
  23. Vitale did both Wisconsin v Duke and UNC, and I thought he was worse with UNC, but regardless hes generally unbearable, its really splitting hairs which is more unbearable.
