The expectations are to high for an IF that has 3 players who werent playing that position in MLB last year. Hopefully theyll get better over time, but this year is most likely going to be a growing experience.

Well I think thats the point. If Beckham isnt fielding well, why screw with him more and put him at a different position? As for the throws, its just going to take time and practice. 3b to 1b is a much different throw than he is used to.

Dye is really seeing the ball well.

Also its hard to blame Beckham for not being amazing at 3b when its not his best position. When you play people out of position, they may not play that well.

Im not getting the argument. You said that he looks "crappy" commenting on todays game and his statistics in the NL. He has been doing excellent this year and has much better stats than many other NL pitchers. Im not going to say that all pitchers will do great going from AL to NL (Barry Zito) because its just not true. I just dont see how you can say a player looks crappy when they are putting up great stats in their league. Here is Peavy: Era 3.97, 1.19 whip 92k's, 81.2 ip There was a 100+ page thread about trading for him, notice every single one of those numbers is worse than Javy... Yeah that 3.30 era, 1.03 whip (2nd in NL), 115 K's (1st in NL) in 92.1 ip (11th in the NL) sucks. Sox fans expectations of Javy were always ridiculous because a fan favorite was traded for him. (Who is currently batting .204) Also I believe part of the reason why CQ was available was Young took a spot in the OF for AZ.

Israel is not going to strike Iran now, or in the immediate future. Iran is teetering and the last thing an enemy would want to do is give them something to rally around. Israel does not want land from Iran, so its not like taking advantage of them in a weakened state. Also its most likely prudent to see how the dust settles and see what type of rhetoric is coming out of Iran.

The US is going to have to play the match of their lives if they want to stay with Spain. Hopefully they at least make them uncomfortable, but regardless its invaluable experience for the US having played Brasil, Italy and Spain. Still a long way for the team to go, but they are getting better.
