  1. QUOTE(rventura23 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:35 PM) he was on that jenks pitch He was a little off, apparantly.
  2. It's a save situation. Lock it down Bobby.
  3. QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) Y'all happy they took Vaz out now?? No really, but at the same time, Vaz was at about 108 pitches...it's still early in the season to be stretching it that far...Ozzie tried to leave him alone, but that pitch count should be watched in April...my opinion anyway.
  4. Why do they have to do this...don't blow Javi's awesome day, please.
  5. QUOTE(BFirebird @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) Looked like a decent crowd for a wednesday afternoon game as well....usually there would be about 9,000 at a game like today. I wish I could have been there...stupid work. Beautiful day today, and excellent pitching to go along with it. OK Cotts, WTF already...get him out.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:26 PM) He's not our #5, Garland is (and no, I don't know or care what that goofy depth chart on the team site says). Javy may be the best #4 in baseball though. I agree, I think Garland needs to be slotted further down in the rotation, he's not been as good since we moved him up from #5, aside from yesterdays start vs the Royals, anyway.
  7. Vazquez looked good today, he was in that zone where he could throw a strike if he felt like it, and his breaking stuff was nasty.
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) I feel better, being that was a legit hit. Excellent job Vaz! Agreed.
  9. AJ At least Pods is hitting again...now he needs to find his base stealing stride...
  10. 1 more...hows his speed look on the gun?
  11. Awesome job guys, aside from how you started out with all the doom-and-gloom Cub fan like language. Let's keep it positive around here!
  12. Wow aren't you all a bunch of kool-aid drinkers. Before Thome came up you were all singing Cubbie doom-and-gloom songs about how much everyone on this team sucks, and how much life sucks. Then Thome comes to bat. What's going on around here?! We lose a couple of games to start the season and you guys turn into Cub-like fans. What a difference a year can make.
  13. OMG relax. It's 2 runs, it happens. Did I accidently come to a doom and gloom Cubs message board?! WTF.
  14. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 01:27 PM) 3-1 dammit When you said that I thought they scored and made it 3-1, asshat.
  15. Awesome bench! Welcome Mack-o-wack and Cintron!
  16. Yes, I'm happy Pods is back...just like last season, as soon as he got hurt, the Sox had a harder time it seemed. And Iguchi's experiment of dropping him lower in the order was stupid from the get-go...and I hope they make the right decision and put him in the 2 slot...he's not greedy, and I think Uribe would be too greedy to bat in the 2 spot, just based on the fac t that every time he talks to our radio announcers, he tells them he's "going deep". Yeah...#2 hitters can't have that attitude...at all. Iguchi doesnt. Keep him in the 2 hole. Plz. Thanks.
  17. Cliff rules...he's a tiny guy with some massive power. 5'11 my arse.
  18. Good to see Uribe go deep...since he tells our radio announcers he's going deep every game he plays. He lies a lot, apparantly...just not today. :|
  19. is all I have to say.
  20. LOL that is awesome!
  21. I noticed Thome limp a little after rounding third during the Sox/Cubs game...didn't look like anything to worry about...it wasn't his lightning speed we brought him here for, anyway.
  22. Meh. Borchard is what...335 years old now?! So he hits a few moonshots inbetween his endless K's. He looks lazy, droopy and asleep everytime I see him. Yet another example as to why "prospects" and "can't miss prospects" are a total crapshoot. Four years ago, do you realize what we could have gotten for Borchard? Now I heard Kansas City turned us down when we offered him for their mascot. :|
