Not to defend Garland or anything, but 3 runs in 6 innings aint that bad. Sometimes we just have to give credit to the other pitcher. Scot Shields had his A+ stuff last night and he shut us down. The only thing that you can ask from a 23 year old should be just to have quality starts and continue to develop. He is doing that right now. I think everyone will admit that he is pitching alot better than last year.

Just curious, what exactly did he say? Did he make a comment about this sight or just the tailgate at Comiskey?

No one was praising him, I think we all admited that he had a bad outing. Most of us were just saying give him another chance. Bash him by saying he had a bad outing and sucked, I'm fine with that. But no rookie should be called a "cocksucker" just for a bad major league debut.

The three throw-outs at home by the Sox were impressive. We were just hitting line drives right at people and their defense was awesome behind Washburn.

Put me down for the Aaron Rowand fan club. I love the way he plays and hes one of my favorites on the club. But yes we acquired Everette to play centerfield and hes much better offensivly. We have several hot hands right now (Everette, Rowand, Konerko, Lee) so its a pretty good dilemma to have. I dont think Aaron would put up nearly the same numbers if he played everyday.

Can someone give me some more info on this guy? I know he made his debut earlier and has had two great starts (against TB). What level did he come from and was he a highly-touted prospect like Cotts? Were those two starts a fluke or does he have really good stuff? Any info would be appreciated.
