  1. And Loz works out of it Is he having a great year or wut
  2. Thank God Big Hurt picked him up
  3. DLo whiffs, Here we go again :fyou
  4. Loz is just cruising along. But so is Reed. End of 5, 1-0 Sox
  5. Were there ever any action in any other Sox game?
  6. Looks like Loz is gonna have to pitch another shutout
  7. Did I just see us score a run?
  8. Loaiza 8-5, 3.44 ERA in his career vs. Twinkies REed 1-5, 4.91 vs. Sox
  9. He has 72 hours to waive that no-trade clause of the Expos. Hes batting .286 with 18 HRS and 50 RBIs. Glad to see the Expos trying to get back right into things. http://sportsline.com/mlb/story/6447233
  10. You should be happy for him HSC, he woulda never gotten the opportunity here.
  11. Boy did Gagne look mad after he scored.
  12. Do you guys realize that we have to win 2 out 3 just to gain 1 game? And our record in the Baggydome is against us.
  13. That is exactly why I don't see a deal that big ever happening between these two crosstown rivalries. It's too much risk for either team and things could turn out ugly.
  14. Isnt that the same idea as fantasy sex? We can't have a real Sox win so we just imagine one.
  15. Hot? In Chicago? Did hell freeze over?
  16. Done deal in 1/4 of a heartbeat. But that deal aint happening. Just think about it, why would anyone trade 2 stud young pitchers for a DH (Valentin) and Colon? Besides, I dont see that big of a deal ever happening between these two crosstown rivalries.
  17. Oh comon hasnt there been a "moment of truth" or "its time" thread before every series throughout the season? Always be pessimistic, the Sox are gonna roll over on their asses and find themselves at least 7 1/2 games back.
  18. No doubt Colon is one of the best pitchers right now. He's everything the Sox could hope for: a workhorse, a fierce competitor, a great ace, and stands up for his teammates. Hes only in his early 30's and still have some great years left in him. He now has developed some very good offspeed stuff to go with that blazing fastball. I'm 100% for keeping him, he's one of the players that we should build this team around.
  19. Heres my shot: 1) Who will win the series (CHW/MIN) (2 points)? MIN (always stay negative ) 2) Who will have the most plate appearances, Rios, Rowand, or Harris (2 points)? Rowand 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 4 4) Which Sox player will ground into the most double plays (4 points)? Maggs 5) How many hit batsmen will there be on both teams for the series (5 points)? 5 6) How many total runs will the bullpen allow (5 points)? 6 7) Who will lead the Sox in doubles (4 points)? DLO 8) Will Harris steal a base (Y/N) (2 points)? No 9) Which starting outfield will hit more homeruns (CHW/MIN) (2 points)? Sox 10) Will anyone be ejected by an umpire (Y/N) (2 points)? Yes Tiebreaker: 9
  20. I never accused you of saying that it didnt matter. I agree that JM did everything he should have done. Whatever the causes were, I'm just saying that its winnable games like this that will haunt us big time at the end of the season. And we have way too many games like this.
