  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 12:46 PM) BA's BPA: 21. Everrett, P 39. Hooper, P 41. Orimolye, OF 43. Hill, P 46. McCarthy, OF hill off the board. McCarthy the lone college player there. Rest probably be hard to sign
  2. BA's BPA: 21. Everrett, P 39. Hooper, P 41. Orimolye, OF 43. Hill, P 46. McCarthy, OF
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 12:38 PM) A lefty power bat wouldn't suck, but who the hell knows. Probably about 10 minutes away from the 4th round pick being announced. Should be way quicker then that. Chalmers is off the board.
  4. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 12:32 PM) Who do you guys want the Sox to get now? I don't know a ton about these guys. Paul Dejong if we're looking at a college bat.
  5. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 10:51 AM) Plus 10 SO, 9 BB, 5 HBP, 2 WP. The conveniently left that off the mizzou website
  6. Nevermind I thought he redshirted and was presumably injured. But I Google it and he did indeed pitch. Montes de Oca pitched eight innings for the Tigers this season giving up only one extra base hit and posting an impressive .107 batting average against.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 09:25 AM) What's the most they could possibly give Matuella in the 4th round? Well slot is 500k. After missing out on rounds 2 or 3 I can't imagine drafting a guy they didn't think they could sign in round 4.
  8. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 09:10 AM) look at Mitchell Nau - catcher - Tx A+M George Iskenderian - if - Miami with kerian, he comes from a great program. and is a ss, i don't see the power for a 3b and i mean sustainable power. a sleeper i really like besides Thompson is Zander Wiel Vandy. Kerian is actually a 1b, but yeah he has nice speed and was once drafted as a SS (not terribly uncommon for a hser) so I don't think a position change is out of the question, even if he's a college senior and it's a little late. His bat should be able to play anywhere else but 1B. Sox definitely need a college catcher early. Nau would be a solid choice.
  9. Eh, they got Sale under similar circumstances. There were both major signability concerns (ala Rodon) and mechanic concerns (ala Fulmer) with Sale and Sox got that done, rather easilly really.
  10. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:35 AM) Mac Marshall is a top my wish list today in round 4. David Kerian from Illinois is on my wish list between rounds 6-10 Kerian's bat can absolutely play. If they could transition him to 3B or the outfield he'd be an amazing get.
  11. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:27 AM) Gammons was right, the Sox have gotten the best college pitchers in consecutive drafts. At least IMO, Amazing. Sox have been extremely lucky, but also props to the fo for doing what others wouldnt.
  12. How about a HS pitcher not going to 14? Have to imagine last year's historic year for that group has scared a lot of teams. There was a bit of a run on them later, and going that late isn't totally unheard of, but I wonder if they're heading the way of the runningback.
  13. He was actually at 3rd before the error. He could have taken home but got lost in the confusion. Altuve took second on it.
  14. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 8, 2015 -> 09:31 PM) 17 swing and misses What was the record?
  15. Yep. Castro is behind home plate already so looks like we're good. Bossard putting on the finishing touches.
  16. Just took off the hawks game so I imagine were starting. Astros are in the dugout.
  17. Hawks on the jumbotron for the break was pretty cool though
  18. Clears skies over the park right now. Unfortunately can still see lightning in the distance.
