QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 07:50 PM) nothing is going to happen, but I love seeing people get mad about rumors with no truth to it Considering they've popped up in very reliable places(The Sun-Times, for example), I'm pretty sure the Red Sox rumors had plenty of truth to them.

SI called this exact deal 3 weeks ago.

So Kenny originally drafted Dubee. Seems like one of his guys. -

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) i really want to know what we got Yeah seriously. How does the Chicago media pick this up first without knowing whose coming here? "Hey, I have time to tell you that you guys are getting a single A player. Not enough time to tell you the name though. Go report!" -

Woah. -
It's hideous even in the concept pictures. That doesn't bode well.

I think Missouri and Notre Dame would be the only ones on the list. I don't see Pitt happening just because I don't see Penn State letting it happen.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) Let me add that Warcraft 2 and Duke Nukem 3D are probably the two best PC games ever made. WarCraft III disagrees.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 03:07 AM) I have newfound respect for Nintendo games after I browsed through several last week. Jesus, several of the Mega Man and Castlevania games are damn near impossible. The original Super Mario Brothers' levels are difficult past World 6 as well. For Nintendo, my favorite games were: Battletoads, Metal Gear, N.A.R.C., Metroid, Mario Brothers 3, Legend of Zelda, Paperboy Sega Genesis: Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage 2, Slaughterhouse, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Ecco the Dolphin (that's right, punks), Zero Tolerance Super Nintendo: Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2, Super Double Dragon, Joe and Mac, Donkey Kong Country (entire series), Super Mario RPG, Super Punch OUt, and probably others I can't remember. Damn, now I feel nostaligic. Anyone have the link to the website posted earlier in the year on Soxtalk where Emulators/Roms were available? It wasn't your typical site either, as everything was already provided. Wish I could find it... everyvideogame.com ?

QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 08:51 PM) Wouldn't this be all over ESPN? My brother is currently in Vegas... It's currently only on a couple message boards and the Wake Forest board refuses to confirm it. Who know if it's actually true. I'd wait on a media source to confirm it. EDIT: At least the Vegas part does not add-up. He was at the university today. -
I'm playing Bomberman for TurboGraphx on the Wii as we speak. I heart this game. And now that I think of it, Ken Griffey Jr. SNES better come to Wii.

Bob Dylan, I've been playing a ton of Resistance online lately. I'll friend you. Same name?

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 05:56 AM) NHL 94 baby. The wrap around move with Jeremy Roenick combined with Eddie the Eagle between the pipes= I was unbeatable. Every game ended in something like a 18-15 score, but yeah, that game was awesome. Nothing beat the cheap rap around goals in that game.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 05:55 AM) Was U. Josh, Frank? I loved how teams had different themes for their players names. Good times indeed. Yeah, U. Josh was Frank. And he killed in that game.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 05:33 AM) Would you say it's worth the purchase? And Marino better be on the top level. Depends. If you like Madden because you can set the price of hot dogs in your stadium, then, no I wouldn't buy it. But if you like Madden for the core football elements, then yes, I would say it's worth the purchase.

Ken Griffey for SNES remains the greatest sports game ever. Too awesome. U. Josh owned all. Ice Hockey for NES gives it a run for its money though.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 05:20 AM) Anyone played All Pro Football 2k8? I'm very intrigued. I bought it. Gameplay is excellent. It plays better than any Madden title I've played. It's a lot of fun trying to build the ultimate legend team. Each legend is put into a different level and you can only have so many legends from that level(For example, John Elway and Barry Sanders are my two legends from the top level. Then you have 9 other legends from the other two levels and the rest of the team is filled by generic players). So there's definitely a lot of strategy involved in building a team. The game is kind of bare bones content wise. There's only a season mode, no franchise mode or anything like that. The core game is very online based.
