Alright, way to take one for the team Carl. 1st and 2nd 0 outs, and Santana is up to 103 pitches. Santana is out of the game, thank you Gardy.

Lee Homers. 3 more of those and we are tied. 4-1 f**s.

A team should always try to take away the opposing pitcher's best pitch. Santana's is his changeup, and we haven't been able to do s*** with it.

f***, f***, and f***. What the hell is with this teams hitting philosophy. Isn't it funny how we pounded Cliff Lee the other night by hitting the damn ball where it is pitched. Yes, that means actually hitting the f***ing ball the opposite way. But our hitters are too selfish because they know that they can't hit an opposite field homerun. That last AB by Valentin illustrates everything. He gets a curve ball on the outside corner and he rolls out to the 2nd basemen. God DAMN, I'm so pissed right now. :fyou

Frank Cattalanotto?
So who do you want. Another power hitter who either homers or K's. We need a hitter like Catalannato who is not all or nothing.

Honest Question
I don't think so and I think this series so far substantiates that. We couldn't hit good pitching with Ordonez or Thomas, why are we going to start hitting it now without them? Through a game and a half so far against the Twins, they have dominated our best pitchers and we can't do anything vs. theirs.

The only good thing about possibly losing this series is that it will hopefully show management that we need to go out and get another bat or two.

Benson to Twins??????
Here are some interesting stats on Benson from ESPN.com. There are his last 3 year splits: AB AVG OPS Batting #1 129. 256. 614 Batting #2 124 .331 .865 Batting #3 113 .372 1.102 Batting #4 102 .304 .951 Batting #5 106 .274 .781 Batting #6 102 .353 .960 Batting #7 96 . 292 .825 Batting #8 88 .182 .632 Batting #9 86 .267 .624 Also, I found it interesting to see his performance (or lack there of) in domes: 13.1 IP, 0-3 record, 17.55 ERA, 0.485 OPP's BA Here's hoping the Twins give up a lot to get this guy!

Paging Jon Garland...
A typical Garland outing - nothing great, nothing bad - 6IP 4ER. When will people realize that he is NOT a young pitcher in terms of quantity of starts? Is this what we should expect for the rest of his career? It seems like we have been saying that he will turn it around for a couple of years now, but he never does. I don't know if he will ever be more than a 4 or 5 starter.
