Understood, but no reason to think Mendick couldn’t be a 2 WAR player. That’s basically what Madrigal is.

Seems he’s been throwing a lot of high sinkers and hanging sliders. He needs to get back to burying that slider against righties.

Mendick would be his replacement and could likely match his WAR production. He’s pretty clearly a better defensive player than Madrigal.

He’s just so clumsy. Heck people thought he was a good outfielder because his wild catch in Futures Game, but in reality it was a sign of things to come.
