Ehhh...would be more encouraged if he still had his plus-plus fastball. If he’s sacrificing velocity for command, it’s not working either way.

And that’s why 95 right down the plate isn’t going to work either

Katz got out there quickly, good to see.

I would get Kopech up in the pen

Good lord, so many pitches not even close

another missed call on first pitch by Cease

Why you say that

Much better elevation by Vaughn. Dunning allowed 9 of last 12 batters to reach.

Oh Yermin! And my god is Robert fast

Beautiful swing! Time for a bomb

He’s lucky Abreu didn’t hit that on the concourse

How long before he throws at someone?

Dunning showing why he’s a one inning pitcher

Notice that it worked not bunting there?

Excellent! Was that Eloy in LF?

People need to stop viewing Cease as the traditional starter from 5 years ago. If he can give you 5 strong innings, you take it. I’ve always thought his ceiling was Rich Harden.

Very nice inning for Cease. Madrigal vs Dunning should be fun

Beckham was someone that scouts were concerned would be impacted by the change.

pitchers throw so hard now and the framing is amazing. I don’t blame them for being wrong so often.

Made solid contact but his swing is so much less explosive than it was in college

That play won’t be made in Charlotte in two weeks

Better, but his misses are still far too off the plate.

Cause it was at 95 and not 98. His stuff is good but no longer elite it seems

Didn’t you just complain about Eaton?

Yoan needs to be swinging out of his ass at a low fastball in the zone
