I know he looked awful most of the time, but giving Elko at bats made way more sense. There’s just no reason Capra or Noda should be on this team, but a lot of it trickles down to the asinine decisions this past offseason with Vaughn and Montgomery.

Someone like Noda, what exactly did they see in him that made them want him and start him right away?

It’s still shocking to me how many people think him and Quero will hit good enough to DH.

That trade never made sense. You hope to get someone back with the potential of the guy he was traded for.

The lack of slugging by the young guys is pathetic. Meanwhile, the combo of Getz and Venable continues to be a debacle.

It also seems like having a AAA team in a hitters paradise like Charlotte doesn’t do anything to help prepare the hitters

Some of these FA signings make no sense. Noda and Capra are horrible players. For as bad as Elko looked most of the time, I still would rather see him at 1B.

They need upgrades across the board if we’re being honest. Even the guys on this roster we hope are on the next quality team are more likely lower-tier starting players

Why, it’s a lot easier to find a slugging 1B than 3B
