  1. Petricka needs a strikeout pitch
  2. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 07:06 PM) I think Rodon has done fine, I just would love to see the walks come down. Thing is, if he had good command, he would have been no doubt the #1 pick.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 07:03 PM) It is waste of time to be stressing about Rodon at this point. He could be pitching in double A, and putting up numbers there. The kid is already in the show, and is still holding his own. Him, Sale and Robertson are probably the only 3 players on this team I'm not concerned about.
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:59 PM) I know that but he is not even close with a lot of pitches, not like he is just off the plate. Fastball command is the biggest area for improvement for Rodon. His slider is already well above average.
  5. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:58 PM) It's not really fair to compare college hitters to MLB hitters. MLB hitters have way more patience and are 100X better overall. How many college hitters could hit/lay off his world class slider?
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:57 PM) Exactly. He's learning on the fly. He'll get his 140 major league innings this year with an ERA around 4, and then he'll get better next year, and the year after. I've been impressed with him this year. He already can compete at this level, and he had very little refinement time.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 07:41 PM) LaRoche swinging 3-0 turns it into a double and RBI. Nice managing
  8. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:24 PM) Once again conor makes a throwing error on an easy ass routine play. This guy is f***ing horrible in the field Not sure how much longer they can keep him out there.
  9. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:47 PM) NL Pitchers: .128/.153/.158 Sanchez: .159/.207/.204 Fun fact - AL pitchers are actually hitting better than NL pitchers this season. Thanks!
  10. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:41 PM) I am to lazy and really don't care all that much but didn't he give up three or four runs early in his last outing vs our White Sox only to settle down and breeze through 7 innings? Yep, Avi 3 run homer in the first
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:38 PM) So basically he hits weak ground outs to the middle of the diamond, doesn't drive the ball, strikes out too much and doesn't run well. I looked, but couldn't find stats for the typical NL pitcher that hits. Any idea how Sanchez compares?
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 05:34 PM) 3rd time this year. And there's been a few that have been booted that should have been an easy DP. Given his 57% ground ball ratio, it's worth the shot trying to open up another hole for him. He needs all the help he can get.
  13. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 05:30 PM) Easy double play. Sanchez has to go already Whenever he's up with a man on first, you need to do a hit and run. If not, that's going to happen way too often.
  14. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 05:23 PM) Is this whole team that damn stupid? Sure seems that way this year. What in the hell is happening with the starting pitchers in the first inning this year? They just don't seem prepared out of the gate.
  15. Another terrible game plan with Rodon early on. Same thing happened in Pittsburgh.
  16. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 08:06 PM) Good to hear. How were the crowds? Was it insanely packed? We went in mid-Sept when the crowds were 2 or 3 out of 10. It was still packed, but not terrible. We might try Universal this year. And Legoland, which is somewhat close by. If you're taking little kids to Universal, I'd highly recommend the Barney/An American Tail area. It's hidden in the back of the park, but there are a ton of things to do and it's never crowded. Great splash park type area in that section. It's close to the ET ride.
  17. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:08 PM) Should be skipping his next start honestly. I'm fine with giving the Cardinals a free win
  18. I was fine with them pulling him last game due to wanting to save his arm from too many pitches. But to keep him in today to throw so many extra pitches just for a shot at a record is insane.
  19. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 08:03 PM) It's so obvious this is a lost season why in the f*** would you not get a head start on '16 BY BROOMING THIS STAFF. No reason not to. Who knows, maybe someone performs better with a different voice in charge. It's not likely, but it's better than keeping things as they are right now.
  20. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:02 PM) can any of this be blamed on the manager. i mean, not to blame RV, just to pile on RV. but is it really his fault. No way of knowing, but usually managers get fired when their team is lazy, unprepared and losing a lot more games than they're winning in a season the organization thought they could compete.
  21. Why the hell is he still in? You had to pull him last game because he threw too many pitches in his previous start, so why leave him out there in a blowout?
  22. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:58 PM) This team is completely broken Please let this be the game that forces changes.
