  1. I honestly would not blame Sale one bit if he requested a trade.
  2. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:56 PM) Watching him at the plate is like seeing a really bad version of Vlad Guerrero Awesome analogy
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:55 PM) The problem is...the White Sox have so many, many, many holes that we have no choice but to get production out of someone like Avi if we want to turn this around within a couple years. Or pray that some other GM is dumb enough to think he has 30/30 potential and swap him for someone who can play 2b/ss/3b in the big leagues.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 06:52 PM) I don't know if you saw this one but it was a find that made me pause and say "really" yesterday. Garcia has not hit a double down the left field line since 2013. Not a surprise, his mechanics are awful. Going forward, he seems more a part of the problem and not a part of the solution.
  5. Shocking it looks like the offense quit after Sale gave up the lead.
  6. 53 at bats for Avi since he had an extra base hit
  7. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 06:43 PM) I'm guessing he's hurt. Pretty much all the knocks on him (not the best clubhouse guy when things aren't going well, oft injured) have proven to be true. Of course, he also was worth 3 bWAR last season, so the positives were true as well. Going to be an interesting 2nd half for him. He's swinging the bat better of late vs RHP. Against LHP, he has been useless.
  8. Finally saw a highlight of Nunez's "double". WTF is wrong with this team?
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 06:39 PM) More Alexei bulls***. Why does he doe that stupid slide thing? Just back hand it and throw it over What an awful season for him. I don't think the Sox could even give him away right now.
  10. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 06:37 PM) Pressure the defense with speed. You bust your hump every time. When did guys lose these fundamentals. When they were allowed to do whatever they want without consequences by the manager. Only time someone's been disciplined this year is when the "angry substitute teacher" was in charge
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:34 PM) Imagine you were Eaton after hitting that... I don't blame him for stopping the first time (although I'd still be lightly jogging), but the second stop was unacceptable. So many of the players have been jogging to first this year far too often. Eaton and Alexei are the biggest culprits. Ironically, the guy with the bad knee (Avi) busts it down the line every time.
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:23 PM) You don't let him go back out there. Plain and simple. Robin's had quite a few opportunities to hold someone accountable by benching them, and he continues to do nothing. At this point, he should be trying to do anything to push different buttons. His style isn't working at all!
  13. I love this tweet: Comiskey Park Hitmen ‏@CPHSox 3m3 minutes ago Adam Eaton used to run to 1st on walks. Oh how things have changed.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 06:22 PM) Close enough that you couldn't tell if the 1b hit the corner of the bag. That's all on Eaton. Lazy lazy Eaton. It seems pretty obvious they're going to end up trading Eaton this offseason in a Swisher-esque deal where they're so sick of the player, they'll give him up for cheap. Sox will end up having to eat some of the money owed.
  15. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 06:20 PM) he didn't even run out of the box because he thought it was caught and then didn't even run it out when Vargas dropped the ball. It is pathetic the way these players play. He'll get benched when Parent manages for a day
  16. According to fangraphs, Avi is now 156th out of 164 in terms of WAR. With Utley on the DL, Alexei is far and away the worst hitter in baseball.
  17. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 06:15 PM) Yay, Sanchez hits another easy grounder You might as well hit and run every time he's up
  18. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 06:11 PM) To me it seems to be an organizational philosophy that baseball stupid across the board is fine. I was watching the Twins over the weekend, and they were talking about how Vargas hits the ball on the ground an awful lot. Given the way Suzuki has hurt the Sox, it seemed like a no brainer to IBB him.
  19. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:07 PM) Similar to Monday this game ended in hurry after starting well. Hughes will retire the next 12 in a row. It really is amazing how s***ty players can simply destroy the White Sox on a consistent basis Rayburn and Suzuki come to mind. Made no sense to pitch to Suzuki with open base there.
  20. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:08 PM) Seems like this team just doesn't care anymore They ever cared this season? Flat and lethargic since a week into Spring Training.
  21. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 07:04 PM) He isn't a great RF The sooner they move him to LF, the better. If not, trade him because he doesn't hit well enough to be a RF given how awful he is defensively.
  22. Well, this game is just about out of hand. Disappointing from Sale, but the Twins have owned him all season.
  23. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 05:42 PM) Neither guy will be a very good MLB player it seems. Tim Anderson is the 2nd baseman of the future, IMO
