Great job battling by Rodon! Take off 10 days and heal that blister.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 09:38 PM) Stop it. That was not meant to hit him.... Oh come on, you know they meant to hit Abreu in a 0-0 game with 1 out and our hottest hitter up next!

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 09:35 PM) I would definitely hit Bryant. That obviously was meant to hit Abreu since he's our only HR threat. HIT A CUB soon, Rodon. Such a dumb idea. Nothing like taking away the inner half for Sale tomorrow.

GT: White Sox (39-44) vs. Scrubs (46-38) [3:05CT / 4:05ET]
Here comes the inning of late where the Cubs have put up a few runs. 3rd time vs the pitcher with top of the order up has been money for them.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 10:32 PM) The Cubs can always overpay. Which they won't do for a rental. Rumor is they want someone they can control for a few years to slot into 3/4 spot.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 09:23 PM) Right Given Reinsdorf's comments about not wanting to see the Cubs win a WS until after he dies, I would be very shocked to see the Sox trade with the Cubs when the Cubs are contenders.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 10:22 PM) It was about Shark ofcourse. But still the odds of that happening are probably slim to none. To the Cubs?

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 09:19 PM) My god eaton. Just terrible today. This reminds me of watching the Mets try to hit the Cubs this year.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 10:16 PM) Seriously, Rodon might be the best bunter. He did DH at times at NC St.

Let Rodon swing away and pull once past Rizzo

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 08:59 PM) Alexei just swung at a ball that would have hit a left handed batter in the head. Terrible game plan by the hitters today.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 08:59 PM) Hendricks is now right handed Mark Buehrle. Never change Hawk. His stuff/command absolutely does remind me of Buehrle. Doesn't mean he'll have a similar career, as there have been a lot of guys like Buehrle who got shelled.

Hendricks is type of pitcher who makes it look easy if other team chases his pitches just off the plate.

Sox vs Cubs
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 10:23 PM) 2nd most K's in the league for them, team with the most is Houston and their poor approaches led to them scoring 10 runs against the Sox in 6 games. Good matchup for Rodon too. Cubs take a lot of pitches, and I'll be pleasantly surprised if Rodon makes it 6 innings. I'm sure he'll hit Rizzo with a pitch or two.

White Sox have worked out Eddy Julio Martinez twice or more
QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 10:20 PM) What happend here? ugh, thought I was posting in the sox/cubs thread. sorry guys, I'll delete

Sox vs Cubs
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 11:14 PM) I wouldn't be shocked at this point to see Lester pick off one of our guys. It wouldn't shock me to see a no-hitter thrown by one of the 6 starters this weekend.

QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 11:02 PM) Dodgers and giants are front runners unfortunately though, gonna be tough to outbid them This article made me less optimistic about the chances for the Sox.

Sox vs Cubs
Saturday is the battle between the pitcher that can't hold anyone on and the team that can't steal successfully. With that said, I don't like Lester's chances of getting a hit off of Sale.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 08:00 PM) The next 3 games. Soto only catches Jeff. Wait, you don't like Flowers' chances vs Arrieta on Sunday?
