  1. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 28, 2014 -> 06:49 PM) Stroeman kid is nasty, hawk comparing him to Tom Gordon Sox were very close to drafting him. If Rockies took Hawkins like many had projected, then I believe Stroman was the pick.
  2. Never in doubt. Nice job Petricka
  3. Alexei with unnecessary risk
  4. Great to see the Cubans dominate tonight
  5. Pretty fun expecting a homer from a Sox hitter. Pitchers without something they can throw low, outside and hard have no prayer.
  6. All with two outs....just ridiculous
  7. Wow Flowers..not good
  8. One man show
  9. Shocking how far Viciedo and Flowers have fallen. Both in low 240s now. Such a shame the Sox can't develop offensive players.
  10. 16 innings since Sox last scored
  11. Alexei is playing awful baseball all around of late. Just have to hope it's not too late to get value for him.
  12. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 05:51 AM) Rizzo is turning into a STUD. Like a 6 WAR player given his elite D, solid baserunning and excellent patience and hit tool. That said, I think WAR under rates guys that put up 40+ HR in a year as it frees up other spots in your lineup for guys like Conor Gillaspie where their on base skills get to shine. There is something to be said for getting a lot of your power from only a few positions (so you can priotirze other things like defense or OBP or baserunning) and Jose certainly is a huge precense in the middle the lineup. If you surround him with OBP guys you're gonna see a lot of RBI. Oh, Hahn's done just that with Conor and Eaton. Good job Hahn. Both Chicago 1B are awesome. Abreu's been everything the Sox could have asked for, and more. Rizzo's having a sensational season, as his stat line is up to 292/404/533.
  13. I loved watching McDermott. Not sure how good he will be, but I'm sure the fans will love him.

    Beck couldn't get out of the 5th. Not sure he was ready for AAA.

    QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 11:59 PM) 3 ER now given up by Beck Ugh...save us Rodon
  16. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 05:24 AM) This. I thought it was ironic that Hawk was so closely monitoring Detroit and Cleveland games, even though in a few months that some Sox fans could be rooting for Rangers and Diamondbacks for other reasons.
  17. At least Abreu and Eaton looked great and Noesi pitched well
  18. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 05:21 AM) Lol. Oh well. I'm not gonna cry about close defeats late in games this year. At the end of the year we'll be wishing we'd lost each of these ones. So true
  19. Fitting end. Webb needs to be demoted. It's unreal how bad this bullpen has become.
  20. That should be the easiest play in baseball to review, but this system sucks
  21. 93mph...that's way below what he was last year
  22. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 04:15 AM) Ya ok he's not getting a closer shot lol Charlotte?
  23. Webb would have fit in well with 2007 relievers
  24. Webb has been a disappointment this season. I'm ready for him to get demoted and get regular work so he can focus on his control.
