Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:40 AM) Much better ADA! Nice job of not bunting, but I have a feeling Keppinger will be.

Beckham's had two great swings in his last two ABs.

4/5 Games
QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 02:24 AM) Rangel Ravelo has 3 walks in 2 games. Well ahead of his standard pace so far. Lots of strikeouts unfortunately for Hawkins and Thompson. Walker's going to have an insane amount of steals this year.

Veal never threw this many fastballs last year.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:25 AM) Lindstrom still in. Not someone that you think of as a long reliever.

Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
Viciedo still showing a lot of the same weaknesses against RHP so far this year. They're going to have to find a way to get more lefties in this lineup.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 02:09 AM) Nice job by Matt Indeed! Tough spot for the 5 straight righties in the Sox lineup against a hard throwing righty reliever.

Hawk's struggling with his home run calls so far this year. With that said, I can deal with it as long as it's actually home runs.

RIOS! Let's get one more before they take Beavan out.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 01:40 AM) Why burn an inning from Lindstrom here? He's only got ~55 of them a year. Cause the long man went yesterday. Someone like Jones is going to have to give them 2 innings tonight.

Really seems like the cold weather is impacting our players a lot offensively and even defensively. Beckham had nothing on that throw, but PK made a nice scoop.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 02:36 AM) Put the bat on the ball starting Sunday, fellas.

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 01:34 AM) Yeah Q pulled a Gavin Floyd and the meltdown. Gavin wishes he could have this big of a meltdown. This is 5 runs on a minimal amount of pitches.

Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
Q picking up where he left off last year. If he has a tough April, you have to contemplate sending him down and making Santiago a starter. Flowers is in love with that inside pitch.
-
Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
I don't get why Keppinger wasn't guarding the line considering every pitch to Gutierrez was inside. Seems like Mariners have finally realized that Flowers is setting up inside on almost every pitch.

Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
Wow, what a soft run, but problem is Mariners are threatening for more. Quintana is simply a horrible fielding pitcher, and it's one of the things that made the Yankees get rid of him IIRC.

Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
Non Sox, but it's truly amazing how often the Astros are striking out so far this year.

Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
I think we'll see Wise and Gimenez in the lineup tomorrow.

Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
Great piece of hitting by Konerko there! Now hit a homer to right center Tank.

QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 02:16 AM) Please God nooooo If Beck continues to hit DO NOT MOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't it feel like we've had this same discussion the last 4 years?
-
Gamethread: White Sox vs Mariners
Ugh, Keppinger probably won't last long batting 2nd vs RHP. I'd love to see Beckham hit well and get moved up in the order.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 02:11 AM) Our bats are pretty dormant. Time to hit some ropes instead of home runs. How bout some gappers and regular-ol singles? Not that I'd turn down a Flowers bomb. Dunn and PK best bets for a homer tonight, IMO

Between getting thrown out on that bunt and hitting into a DP, De Aza looks a step slow this season.
