  1. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 25, 2013 -> 02:51 AM) The Shane Larkin protection plan in place Stop, both teams got away with the same type of calls in the first half. Reggie Johnson continues to be Miami's Least Valuable Player. Illinois scored 6 points in that half when Johnson was off the court.
  2. Reggie Johnson has had a terrible, terrible season. He's way too slow to play in this game. Ever since he came in, the Illini have had wide open 3s.
  3. Most boring 8 hours to start a day in tourney history?
  4. Ejim-yikes
  5. Just horrible shooting by both teams in the 2nd half. That charge on Spencer D to get his 4th was a huge call in this game
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 22, 2013 -> 10:25 PM) Tyler Griffey is having the game of his life right now Hyperbole much
  7. I'll never understand how Colorado had a higher seed than Oregon. What a pathetic showing by Colorado so far. Good strategy to leave Richardson wide open.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 11:21 PM) Keep in mind the CINCY guys were saying he was looking short on his delivery. I didnt notice that at all when I watched him, he just looked like he didnt have all of his late movement/zip on the fb yet. That will happen when you dont pitch for a year. After his last game, Bernstein said he looked like he was trying too hard to generate velocity, which was causing his poor command.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 09:27 PM) Holy implosion. Danks is toast. Yep, see you in May hopefully Danks. Bernstein was saying after his last start how uncomfortable he appeared on the mound. Can we amnesty him
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 08:18 PM) Rios left the WBC game today with an injury. Anyone know what happened? Rios is fine, got stepped on by a teammate on a play.
  11. Prediction: by the time this year is over, Javier Baez will be the top hitting prospect in baseball.
  12. Rios left the WBC game today with an injury. Anyone know what happened?
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 14, 2013 -> 09:25 PM) Yay spring training stats are awesome! How did you know I was going to suggest Dunn start the season in AA?
  14. Danks got crushed today by the Angels. In my opinion, I wish he could rehab a bit more in AAA and let Santiago start in the rotation.
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 09:49 PM) He's not having a good spring. In my opinion, he shouldn't make the 25 man roster. He's just not a good enough player.
  16. I don't understand a lot of the frustration over Rose not returning yet. I know everyone pointed to Shumpert's return as a sign that Rose is taking too long to recover, but Shumpert's playing about 20 minutes a night so far and doesn't look strong at all (terrible shooting percentage). At this point, I'm beginning to think it's best just to let Rose sit out remainder of the year.
  17. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 5, 2013 -> 09:17 PM) The UCONN/Notre Dame game last night was pretty thrilling, but I agree overall. Thrilling? It was awful. 36 turnovers in a game by the #3 team in the country?
  18. I tuned in to see a replay of the RBI single, but did Beckham hurt himself running home?
  19. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Mar 4, 2013 -> 09:48 PM) Tekotte is a 5th OF at best. I don't see a place for him on this roster
  20. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 4, 2013 -> 09:51 PM) Did Beckham juice in college and it just wore off? Aluminum bats
  21. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 4, 2013 -> 09:12 PM) They aren't showing mph on this live webcast. Put it this way...does he look more like Jamie Moyer or 2011 John Danks
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 4, 2013 -> 09:16 PM) How accurate are WBC radar guns (in international stadiums, right?) I'd say he was low 90's when I saw him in person last year. The stadium gun showed him topping out at 90-91, but that stadium's gun has been about 2 mph slower than MLB level guns in the past. Castro clearly threw harder than him, but not hugely. Hard to tell, as they definitely weren't "fast" guns. Cuba took a ton of pitches against him, as he was effectively wild and got a ton of called strikes.
  23. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 3, 2013 -> 06:44 PM) Rienzo didn't look bad against Cuban though he got the lose. Gave up only one hit through 4+ innings but 4 walks and 1 K. He looked kind of mouthy with the home plate ump too. His demeanor reminded me of Matt Garza. He held a very good team to only one hit, and that was on a hit and run. With that said, his control wasn't very good and his fastball was around 90 mph
  24. Any velocity readings?
  25. QUOTE (Reddy @ Mar 2, 2013 -> 10:28 PM) If/When PK leaves, you'll see Viciedo at 1B, especially with our glut of young outfielders. Or Dunn (if it's next year)
