Phegley's 1st and 3rd ABs were not pretty

That pitcher Kannapolis is facing tonight seems to have quite the future

I like the angle of his fastball. That offspeed pitch doesn't seem to break very much.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 02:41 AM) Get used to this in the 2nd half once the bullpen is shipped out. Yep, this team has the potential to get the #1 pick in the draft. Tonight's game seems 2007-esque.

Congrats Phegley!

Goodness, Beckham looked great in that AB

Doubles for Hawkins and Johnson in 1st inning tonight.

Tampa is hitting the crap out of the ball tonight. Ventura looks less than pleased.

Get loose, Casper

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:26 AM) Remember when the Sox removed Santiago for Axelrod? +100000000000000000000

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:22 AM) Not one pitch Hellickson threw was a strike but got 2 strikes called forcing DeAza to swing at a 3-2 also off the plate outside. He missed and on a close play at 2nd Tekotte was called out though replay shows he barely beat the throw. My fault guys, I thought it was 1st and 2nd for some reason.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 01:20 AM) the...usual...way? You mean runner on 2nd getting caught stealing at 2nd?

How did Tekotte get caught stealing?

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:18 AM) Anderson singles in his first AB. Nice to see a first rounder getting knocks consistently. 2 innings, 4K for Danish

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:15 AM) Hopefully a 31-50 second half will get us one. Definitely doable

Danish getting some innings for Bristol. Goldberg continues his impressive professional run.

Axelrod's next start....vs Tigers

Just like in college baseball, is our Friday night pitcher gonna get an inning tonight? Casper Wells, of course

I think he's given up more hits tonight than Matt Harvey has given up all year.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:03 AM) The smoke and mirrors were left in chicago Ever since that ridiculous game in Seattle where he caught a ton of breaks, he's been a pitching machine on the mound. 21 runs and counting in 22 innings.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:02 AM) God damn he sucks Headed towards being in the bottom 5 in ERA, WHIP and BAA

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:01 AM) Robin...y u no Castro Make Axelrod give you some innings

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:55 AM) Please question mine. A rookie 5th starter with an era around 5? Actually...not all that bad. He could end tonight with one of the 5 worst ERAs for qualified AL starters.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:54 AM) I question anybody's sanity if they look at Axelrod and see the future There have been some that suggested he would be a member of this rotation the next few years.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 6, 2013 -> 12:54 AM) Hopefully E. Johnson is ready to debut sooner rather than later DL unfortunately
