  1. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:26 AM) so if Beckham is out for a while, do you put Teahan at 3B and Vizquel at 2B? Absolutely...under no circumstances should Lillibridge be starting more than once a week.
  2. Very nice start by Pierre...please don't bunt Omar.
  3. BTW, anyone concerned we've heard no update about Beckham yet? Usually you hear something by now if he's ok.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:22 AM) That was ugly Brent. Now who the f*** pitches the bottom of the 10th??? Linebrink or Charles Nagy
  5. QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:21 AM) What excuse is Jenks going to make now? This is a wretched performance for a closer at this point in the season. Hey, he can still throw 100 mph and has a good curve...he's just a pitcher, not a thrower now. I'll give him this, no one makes a 3 run lead seem smaller than him.
  6. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:20 AM) Our efforts against our division and s***ty teams in general have handicapped us going down the stretch. Good teams don't consistantly f*** up like this against inferior talent. There are only so many crappy teams you can make into world beaters by kicking the ball around and pitching like you suck. For all those who are saying the sox are gassed. Well its their own damn fault. The only reason they needed that run was because of how horrible they started the season. Play 500 ball in April and May and beat some of these crappy teams and we are printing tickets for the playoffs. Its our own damn fault. If Lillibridge didn't suck defensively, then Jenks wouldn't have had to go 2 innings. Lillibridge is just a terrible defensive player. Way to go Jenks!
  7. Thing is, Jenks has a pretty good fastball tonight all things considered. It's just his offspeed pitches have been awful.
  8. Very nice play by Alexei. Can we please not get walked off in another road game please?
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:16 AM) I'm just uhhh umm, iiii blah I couldn't imagine how mad I would have been if this happened a month ago.
  10. I'm sorry, but our manager needs to be fired. You cannot keep putting players in these ridiculous situations. Also, Kotsay has been awful at 1B tonight.
  11. Wow, he is freaking terrible defensively.
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:14 AM) i'm calling another Minnesota - no outs recorded. I already predicted that
  13. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:13 AM) take him out please, he went 1.2 last night This is just insane...it's hard to even blame Jenks when Ozzie is abusing Jenks so badly.
  14. QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:13 AM) If Bobby blows another one is he STILL our closer? Does it even matter anymore?
  15. Time to pull Jenks. You cannot continue to ask someone with his history to pitch multiple innings.
  16. Wow, that was a blooper. Jenks is hanging every offspeed pitch he throws, which is understandable given his ridiculous workload lately.
  17. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:10 AM) Man, Omar is ridiculous to watch. Seriously
  18. Oh boy...given how things have gone, wouldn't shock me if we don't even retire anyone this inning. Hopefully Jenks doesn't let Hafner be the tying run.
  19. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:03 AM) ya but they won over 90 games and were beat by good teams.... they were 6 games up on the Wild Card at the ASB, and just seemed to fade as soon as the 2nd half started.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 10:55 PM) I loved LOST but I just started watching Breaking Bad and Aaron Paul is VERY good. First thought he was a good actor in the movie Whatever It Takes
  21. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 01:59 AM) I am asking this honestly but the Sox seem to always run out of gas. This year and 2000 come to mind as well as either 2003 or 2004 when Esteban got torched in Minnesota. 2006 was the worst of all...the pitchers had nothing left in the tank by the end.
  22. Whew, got away with a massive hanger. Bury one Bobby!
  23. This year, Cabrera has killed us on inside fastballs. If he's going to hurt us, make him go oppo.
  24. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:52 AM) Could have stretched further. Or could have just been better off getting the ball first and then playing the runner. He could have come off the base earlier and tried for the tag. The way he went about it, there was no way he was getting Marson out.
