  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 11:01 PM) Come on Johnny, keep that changeup down and under control today. If he has the same command he has last outing, he won't make it 5 innings.
  2. Looking at the Twins schedule the rest of the way, they couldn't ask for an easier month of September. Very few games remaining for them against teams above .500 (Sox, Jays, Rangers)
  3. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) I'm so used to C.C. pitching against Buehrle.. like literally every time they face off. Weird seeing Danks name as a counter part. and usually day games
  4. Damn you Gardenhire and your smart managing
  5. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 11:20 PM) fuentes sucks He really doesn't, as he dominates lefties
  6. 21 in a row retired for Blackburn, including no hits since 1st inning. At least Ichiro will be up in the 9th.
  7. QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 09:56 PM) I may complain about the White Sox offense from time to time, but after watching these degenerates try to score a run, I can honestly say they are the worst offensive team I have seen in a long time. Seattle's offense makes me appreciate ours. Hell, Mark Kotsay would be one of their more dangerous hitters.
  8. QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 09:52 PM) Seattle is god awful. Can't expect any help from them. It's like they're not even using real baseball bats. Everything comes off their bats so softly.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 10:45 PM) Its always the Twins middle relievers that seem to baffle the sox this year. They have scored on Capps and Rauch(they even got a run off Fuentes this year too), its Crain, Manship, Duensing and Guerrier that just shut the Sox down completely. Crain's been unbelievable for them the last couple of months.
  10. Blackburn's retired 15 in a row vs Seattle, and seemingly on about 30 pitches. 1-0 thru 6 for Twins.
  11. Fuentes has dominated lefties this season, as they're barely hitting over .100 against him. He also has an ERA around 2 since the ASB. He'll be a good fit for the Twins bullpen, as Gardenhire will likely use him in good situations.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) Seriously. The pick-up doesn't scare me, but the Twins bullpen w/ Brian Fuentes is better than without him. It sure as hell can't be called a crappy pick-up, any decent bullpen arm is always a good acquisition. Going from Perkins to Fuentes is an upgrade
  13. Mariners look worse than ever against the Twins. You have guys like Gutierrez dropping pretty easy fly balls...yuck!
  14. QUOTE (bobryansson @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 09:36 PM) Anyone know the Sox' record against CC? awful...CC is 8-1 at the Cell in his career
  15. I like the lineup, but hopefully we have a cut-off man ready for Lillibridge's throws from 3rd to 1st.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:25 PM) talk about 20/20 hindsight fathom, that is totally ridiculous. 3 relievers, 2 of them of the shutdown variety in putz and thornton, go down in a span of a week and you criticize management for not going after more relievers? I wasn't criticizing, as there's no need for another lefty reliever in the pen if Thornton comes back. I was just observing that you rarely see teams makeover their bullpen as much as the Twins have done in the last 4 weeks. Hopefully we have no more bullpen injuries.
  17. Torres recalled...it's crazy how active the Twins have been picking up relievers, yet we're the ones who really need help right now.
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 04:45 AM) Why hold on to him then if they're not going to play him? A lot of people think they're going to wait until Monday or Tuesday and keep saying they're going for it all in order to up the price we'd have to pay.
  19. Well, Dodgers look like they're going to win. However, I still don't think it matters with Manny. Dodgers aren't going to start him over Pods.
  20. U. Jimenez was left in way too long by the Rockies manager. Twins opening up their game vs Mariners. Mariners just seem completely outclassed by the Twins.
  21. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 03:02 AM) i dont care what anyone says linebrink has looked decent lately....if there wasnt a blown call right there he wouldnt have given up the 2 run shot...not his fault He's terrible. Giving up bombs to Gregor Blanco, walk-off singles to Kendall, etc. He's completely unreliable.
  22. QUOTE (Real @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 03:42 AM) Yankees hitters look like s*** Unfortunately Seattle is playing terrible tonight. Need Branyan to hit a few bombs.
  23. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 02:43 AM) where's fathom, the closet yankee fan? Fatherhood is very time consuming. But a Yankees fan? I've been called a lot of things in my life, but never that.
