  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 04:06 AM) Wanna bet again, Fathom? I'll say we take 2/3. double or nothing! btw, should have taken my advice about taking the under in every Strasburg start. It's been quite the money maker so far.
  2. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 03:42 AM) also without pods weak throwing arm Houston would never have tied the game so pods was double responsible and he wins I love you
  3. Sox pick up 1/2 a game tonight by Rauch blowing a save with 2 strikes in the 9th!
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 07:28 PM) I'm going to ask the obvious next question... Could PEDs have anything to do with it? Of course...with all of his freak injuries and his well above average velocity, someone would be a fool to think they're not involved (not intended for you ss2k).
  5. D. Lee could easily be the 1B for the Sox next year considering his good r'ship with Ozzie.
  6. It will be like most series in Texas. We'll lose 2 of 3, with our win being a close win, losing one close game, and then getting blown out and having to hear that awful music after numerous Rangers home runs.
  7. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Don't think they would do it, but if I was the cubs I would really, really entertain moving Marmol and getting a great deal out of it. Maybe it's just me, but I love Cashner's arm as their future closer. Fukudome is also attractive, but they probably need to eat alot of that salary to get a good prospect or two out of it. If Adam Lind could play 1b, I would try to trade Marmol for him. Lind was actually someone I was wondering if the Sox could get involved with.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) Yeah, they're decent rentals, but in neither case are they obviously the best name on the market. Cliff Lee is out there as a pitcher, Adam Dunn is out there as a DH/1b, and I don't think you're going to get draft picks back for Lee if he walks Ted Lilly is probably the 2nd best pitcher available. He'd be a great fit for New York (Mets).
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 08:31 PM) Who do the Cubs have that they'd be willing to move and other teams would actually take? Ted Lilly, Mike Fontenot, possibly D. Lee
  10. If the Reds want to contend, they really need to add more bullpen help for Rhodes and Cordero. Nick Masset is having a TERRIBLE season. The Reds just need to not get swept this weekend, and that will probably result in the Cubs going into sell mode.
  11. There's been rumors about Jefferson being gay for 5 years now...and then there was the bizarre wedding cancellation with him.
  12. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 01:13 PM) No need to trade for a big bat now. Lillibridge is a beast. A triple and a homerun, 6 RBIs. There's your DH. I debated about putting that in green... He's hit two balls harder this year than Beckham has all season.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 06:49 AM) Such as? Luke Scott, G. Jones, L. Berkman Rizzo is trying to keep the momentum of the Nats rebuilding project going, and he is not going to give up Dunn for the typical "July deadline package". Since they're asking for Hudson AND Flowers, I would much rather KW just walk away from the table. I wouldn't give up either of them for Dunn.
  14. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 05:11 AM) I think the Dunn ship has sailed. That's great if the rumors were true about how much they were asking for, as well as Dunn's attitude about being the DH. There's much better fits out there.
  15. ESPN is really trying to hype up LeBron to New Jersey.
  16. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 05:10 AM) Gotta resist the urge to stay awake... I need to go to sleep and relax and hear the news tomorrow There's not going to be any news tonight.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) Yeah, Iowa State had better be ready to open the checkbook big time if they want that kid. Why open when he can just steal it?
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 03:36 AM) A guy like Jones doesn't make me want to give up Flowers. If we're going to give up Flowers, I'd rather just go for broke and give up he and Hudson for some kind of stud player. If not, I'd rather try and find a cheaper solution. agreed
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 04:30 AM) 30 minutes til the Summer of LeBron... Please Bron...you don't want to go back to the scene of the crime! Maybe LeBron wants to be in town when his mother gives birth in 7 months to Delonte James West Jr.
  20. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 03:26 AM) Garret Jones anyone? 1B/OF with pop from the left side. Current slash: .284/.356/.449/.805 I'm a big fan, and you could get him without having to give up Hudson.
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 03:09 AM) They have nothing NO would want...I assume. J.J. Hickson and the royalties to the Delonte West/Gloria James sex tape video
  22. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 03:07 AM) If LeBron goes back to Cleveland, all I will do is laugh at him. And then cry that the Bulls will probably strikeout in free agency. We'll get Boozer and his 15 foot turnaround jumpers, no passing, matador defense, awful chest hair
  23. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 03:06 AM) Lebron staying in Cleveland would be a buzzkill. Watch Cleveland do everything in their power to trade for Chris Paul
  24. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 04:04 AM) And to think they got him for Casey f***ing Blake. All Cleveland had to do was throw in a little cash. I'll never understand why more teams don't do that.
  25. I predict the Bulls big FA signing is.....Carlos Boozer. Stoudemire will go to Miami with Wade, Bosh to Cleveland with James. I think it would be awesome if Nowitzki signed with the Nets though to start the Cuban/Russian Pimp feud.
