  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:41 AM) Who hits for Teahen? Teahen
  2. Rios looking very good tonight. It's a LHP Alexei, you can do it!
  3. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:36 AM) Guys (and Melissa) think about this... What if (and I'm not saying it will happen) the Sox are completely out of it by All Star break, but Jones continues to mash. I bet a team looking for a right handed stick would overpay... Absolutely, I love when KW trades veterans for prospects!!
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 01:35 AM) We're running out of outs. I always wished we'd get a sinker ball reliever. Instead, seems we always go for the high fastball type relievers.
  5. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:33 AM) I got skewered the last time i made that comparison, but i believe it's a good possibilty that we've found our guy. It will be interesting to see if he gains velocity over the season
  6. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:32 AM) how come ozzie didnt put santos to pitch the 6th ? L and R
  7. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 01:31 AM) Oh, hi Ozzie. This is Sergio Santos. You should get to know him a bit better, he is one of the guys in this bullpen who actually attacks hitters, and gets them out. And might even have a chance to get lefties out!
  8. QUOTE (SockMe @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 01:30 AM) that is so nasty! Please tell me we've found our Marmol!
  9. The thing that worries me is this Toronto team is the type of lineup that Peavy usually dominates. Lots of righties who aren't very patient. Against a lefty dominant team like the Twins, I have no idea what he's going to do to get their hitters out.
  10. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 01:29 AM) Santos doesn't look good at all. Seriously? I think he looks great. His slider is fantastic. Makes Peavy's stuff look even more pathetic.
  11. It's a sinker ball relief pitcher. We all know how this goes against the Sox in late innings. This Toronto team f***ing sucks, but their fans are really into the game. I'll give them credit for that.
  12. It's like we're doing everything we possibly can to lose games.
  13. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:20 AM) How the f*** is anybody blaming anybody but Peavy? Are you serious? He gave up 7 f***ing runs. Nick Swisher Javy Vazquez Jake Peavy Alexi Rios KW is in quite the funk!
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:19 AM) Hey, does Alexei still suck on defense? Yes, he made that play a lot harder than he had to.
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:18 AM) This is the problem with trying to pitch around Jose freaking Bautista. He wasn't pitching around him...he lost all command of his fastball. Alexei with some interesting footwork on that grounder.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:16 AM) Why the f*** would you put him in a bases loaded situation in a tied game? Because we have a manager that can't think of anything besides L/R and R/L.
  17. Williams and his 8 base runners in 2 innings is going to get DFA'd sooner rather than later. Nothing like bringing in your worst reliever in such a tight spot.
  18. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:12 AM) I am not watching the game but following on line and was at the game last Wednesday and Peavy did not look comfortable. It seemed he took for ever to pitch and was slow as hell. He seems to just be in a rut right now hope it is only temporary. Yep, doesn't look comfortable at all. Let's hope it's mechanics and no shoulder/elbow issues or even discomfort in the ankle.
  19. You could see it clear as day on the replay of the pitch to McDonald. Peavy is opening up way too early, and he's aiming the ball. He's throwing all arm right now. He's going to destroy his elbow if he keeps pitching this way.
