  1. Out of curiosity, have we seen any of the pitchers before that we're going to face this series?
  2. Nix sure does strike out looking a lot.
  3. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 01:52 AM) Is that from a source or you just think so? Think so
  4. Hopefully we get the good Jayson Nix tonight. Can't let Cahill get into a groove.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 01:50 AM) Presumably by "Wise is going to be DFA'd in 10 days" you mean "Anderson is going to AAA in 10 days". No way
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 12:48 AM) I have nothing against Dweezy. But Ozzie has made him everybody's enemy because he sits BA whenever he can. Looking at Cahill's splits, I don't blame Ozzie for playing the lefty instead of Anderson. The problem is that the lefty had very limited rehab, and it's not like he was a star to begin with.

QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 01:41 AM) Yeah Ozzie, we might be in trouble, or he might be a young catalyst that helps the team a lot in the second half... You'll be happy to know that KW doesn't feel the same way as Ozzie does about Beckham.
  8. BTW, Wise is going to be DFA'd in 10 days. He'll get the majority of the playing time this home stand, and then when CQ returns, he gone.
  9. Cahill getting locked in. No problem with our 6/7/8.
  10. Get us started AJP. I don't think Fields is a good match-up though, as this guy only throws fastballs.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 12:33 AM) Just sat down, have about 2 minutes to check score, wanted to say "God damnit gavin stop that sh*t". It was the loudest ball I've ever heard off the bat.
  12. Holliday accounting for 4 runs so far tonight. I hate him.
  13. Wow...not good for Thome when he can't hit this guys fastball. That 3-0 low strike to Dye changed this inning.
  14. Pods bails out Dye on a bad 3-1 swing. Nice to get one back....this pitcher is perfect for Thome to crush.
  15. That was beautiful. I love Alexei in the 2nd spot.
  16. Good job by Pods...hit and run time, as Cahill is a DP waiting to happen.
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 01:19 AM) Alexei screwed up, but White Sox pitchers need to pitch over mistakes. Even Hawk called it before it happened...Gavin absolutely can't pitch out of the stretch.
  18. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 01:18 AM) Grow a pair Gavin. Whenever someone makes a mistake, he always gives up runs. I don't even care that those were earned runs, but any mistake, Gavin cripples. Luckily, we should hit Cahill fairly well tonight. Cahill's been very good this year. 2 runs or less in 8 of 10 starts.
  19. Jeff Cox must have worked hard on that defensive shift today. Why would you ever have defensive players so close to each other?
  20. Heaven forbid Floyd ever pitch over a defensive miscue.
  21. And just like that, we're down 2-0. Holliday's going to have a huge series against us.
  22. I remember that Alexei at 2nd base.
  23. Let's hope we get off to a good start tonight if the window is only 2 hours.
  24. And here is the dumbest thing to ever be said. According to Cubs ass kisser Paul Sullivan (on ESPN 1000), the reason Peavy and Oswalt didn't want to pitch in the AL Central for the Sox is possibly because the other teams in the AL Central play in bland cities (Detroit, Minnesota, Cleveland, KC). Thus, that's why they'd rather play for the Cubs and travel to the beautiful cities of St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Milwaukee.
