  1. Let's go with lineup of Cabrera, AJP, Dye, Thome, Konerko, Griffey, Ramirez, Swisher, Uribe
  2. First, no matter what happens tomorrow/Sunday/Monday, I'd like to thank the White Sox for keeping me entertained this whole season. With low expectations coming into this year, it's been a blast actually getting nervous for 99 pct of the games. Here's my top 10 moments of the season so far: 10-Nick Swisher's grand slam against Dempster 9- Nick Masset getting the save by having Grudz bounce into a DP in extra innings with bases loaded and one out. 8- D. Wise's ph slam off of Farnsy 7- Carlos Quentin's 3 run homer off of C.J. Wilson 6- Nick Swisher's walkoff homer against Zumaya 5- Joe Crede's grand slam at the home opener 4- Orlando Cabrera's walkoff single vs Joe Borowski 3- Bobby Jenks getting out of a runner on 3rd, 1 out jam vs the Cubs to win the Saturday game at the Cell. 2- Carlos Quentin's walkoff homer against the Angels on ESPN. 1- Jim Thome's walkoff homer in extra innings against the Angels.
  3. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 03:26 AM) Jason Bourgeoious. Spelling horrible on that. He is guy who I wish would have had some at-bats at the end of the year since no one else is doing s***, why not a speedy, contact hitter? No chance...organization isn't very high on him. Only reason he was promoted was Getz's injury. I think the Sox will re-sign Wise this offseason, and trade Anderson.
  4. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 03:21 AM) Any idea who his replacement will be? Bullington...there's a thread below about it.
  5. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:19 AM) Anyone in the know have any information about Lee pitching tomorrow? Scratched
  6. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:14 AM) This is catchy. We should put it to music. I believe the title of that song is "Go Cubs, Go"
  7. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 03:08 AM) Brian26 on WSI said Hawk actually talked Ozzie into givine Wise a few more starts during the stretch run. If that's the case, Ozzie needs to be shown the door. A little more info on this? What's his connection to the team?
  8. The Royals have been very fun to watch the last few days.
  9. On the bright side, maybe Jensen Lewis will be too tired to pitch tomorrow.
  10. What is Ozzie holding on to Griffey for? There's no one else he could even bat for.
  11. So why in the hell is Uribe batting here? Let Griffey bat.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:58 AM) Too bad Javy isn't eligible to PH right now. Considering the score, I bet he'd get a hit. Thome would hit a blast if he was batting now.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:55 AM) I never really thought if it like that, but your comments make a lot of sense. Yep, it's a great post. Think of how we almost blew that one Tigers game with a 7-0 lead cause we pulled Danks after 6 innings.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:54 AM) 43 runs allowed the last 5 games. FIRE DON COOPER It's all because the stupid 4 man rotation has destroyed our starting pitching. From there, we have an idiot managing his bullpen terribly.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:52 AM) Wow, Matt just as bad. He's so much better when he has room to work with. He should always be starting innings.
  16. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:50 AM) I have a good feeling about the bottom of the ninth. i can see the tribe walking Swish to get to Parkman, so we may have some runners. Hell yes, great post!
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:50 AM) There really is no way to expect Linebrink to get through an inning without giving up anything at this point. Linebrink had no business pitching in that situation. It's painful to watch him pitch. He can't get extension due to his shoulder issue. Every pitch seems to be aimed.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:49 AM) He should have started the inning. We are to the point of the season where you use your best relievers no matter what in big situations. No f***ing around Can someone else start a Fire Ozzie thread? There will be no credibility if I do it.
  19. Chris Rongey "just think, Linebrink will gain confidence from this outing and be useful later on in the season".
  20. So by having Linebrink pitch instead of Thornton, I guess Ozzie fears Jamie Carroll more than Sizemore.
  21. QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:42 AM) He's ready and waiting. Well, it's just more embarrassing managing then.
  22. AND THORNTON'S WARMING UP? Are you f***ing kidding me!
  23. Unless Thornton is too tired, I'm shocked he's not in.
