It was just a matter of time for Freddy. He kept hanging his offspeed pitch to every batter he faced.
-
This team completely shut down after the 2nd inning. And now, we have Cotts warming up int he pen.
-
Ridiculous. Get this loser out of the game. He keeps hanging everything. I still have no clue why we hit Young earlier.

QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 01:52 AM)hard to stay focused when Freddy's working at a snales pace
I agree...it just feels like Tampa has got themselves in a situation where a few bloops, and they can get the tying run up to the plate.
-
We better hold them to 6 runs tonight, because the offense doesn't seem very focused now.

QUOTE(BFirebird @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 01:44 AM)Somebody other than me a fan of Bonds. I knew there was a reason I liked you.
Yes, he's an a-hole, and I'm sure he did roids. However, it doesn't mean he's not the greatest player I've been able to see play the game. Considering that so many other MLB players were on the juice when he was dominating, it was still impressive to watch.

7-3 now. We need to put a run or two on the board soon to get some momentum back. Right now, Tampa seems to be hunting us down a little.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 01:42 AM)Why aren't you a fan of those 2 teams Fathom (FWIW, they're probably my 2 favorite NL Teams)?
It's not that I don't like them. Rather, I'd be more intrigued seeing the Reds, Giants, Marlins, or Phillies. Howard's just amazing right now, I'd love to cheer on Griffey Jr. (especially due to his parent situation), and I'm a fan of Bonds.

No walks Freddy!

QUOTE(BFirebird @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 01:30 AM)Wow. Giants and the Marlins are making a run at the WC. I think the Marlins can actually win that thing.
I'd enjoy seeing anyone but the Padres and Dbacks from the possible WC winners.

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 01:28 AM)We've been saying this for how long now? I don't think he's going to change at this point in the season.
To people watching, how's his velocity today?
88-89...I definitely don't believe he's trying his hardest though, so he's not trying to reach back with everything he has.
-
Nice play by Crede. FWIW, Bonds has 2 homers tonight.
-
QUOTE(BFirebird @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 01:25 AM)He just needs to stop hanging pitches.
Way too many meatballs.
-
All the talk by DJ about getting someone hot. We need Iguchi just as much as anyone to get going. He's one for his last 16 now.
Here we go again. Keep the ball down Freddy and preserve this comfortable lead.

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 01:10 AM)memo to Freddy: Tampa Bay f***ing sucks. Start pitching like it.
That was vintage Garcia, as he's notorious for not showing a lot of urgency on the mound when his team has a big lead. I remember hearing some ridiculous stories regarding him and Pinella, and just how much he'd have to beg to stay in the game for 5 innings.
-
And Freddy lets Tampa creep back into this game. Stop hanging that pitch Freddy.
-
He was definitely out at 2nd base. Nice play Jermaine!

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 01:03 AM)Well, even Freddy should be able to hold this lead. We just need to hold off the rain for another 2 and a half innings.
No substantial rain coming tonight.
-
Great to see us capitalize on the botched DP.
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 12:54 AM)Fossum used to be a pretty hyped up prospect with the BoSox, IIRC. He looks awful, though.We did a great job of staying back and not chasing his offspeed stuff. He's actually shut down some solid teams in the last month or so.
-
Whew...looked like he was out. I'll take it!
-
Have a day Jermaine. Break this game wide open.
-
Do some damage Iguchi...or don't hit into a DP.

Our pitching staff sucks....seven runs isn't necessarily a guaranteed win.
