  1. Nice time for good defensive positioning. No matter how tough of an out Grudz is, you couldn't let Teahen get up as the go-ahead run.
  2. It's around this time in the game in recent year where the Royals seem like the '27 Yankees.
  3. Right now, Dye's either hitting grounders to the left side or fly balls to the right side. We need him to get that reversed. It's too bad we couldn't get Terrero in with our best contact guy up against LHP.
  4. What a dumbass idea by Ozuna. In that situation, you have to swing the freaking bat, especially if you have good speed.
  5. Is that Angel Berroa out there? Get Terrero home.
  6. Holy cow, I didn't know walk was in Terrero's vocabulary. Might we see a squeeze here?
  7. If a company started to sponsor every Crede pop up like some companies sponsor caught stealings, then that company would be getting a huge return on their investment this year.
  8. AJP's been hitting great recently!
  9. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 12, 2007 -> 01:01 AM) At the plate, Dye's body and head are flying in so many different directions, it looks like he is spontaneously combusting. An actual hitting might be helpful. Or maybe Dye should have got off his lazy ass and took some extra bp before the game like Konerko. Konerko's looked pretty s***ty all year against that soft tossing crap.
  10. Unbelievable example of everything that's wrong with our hitters vs LHP on that swing by Dye. He popped up a pitch a few inches away from the dirt.
  11. Ozuna's bat speed looks slow tonight. I wonder if he's tired, as he's probably never played this many games in a row in the majors.
  12. Erstad is now 3-26 on the year against LHP. This team needs so much help against LHP.
  13. Iguchi's in slow motion out there.
  14. Why can't we ever get hits against LHP? Lots of uppercut swings so far tonight.
  15. QUOTE(Brian @ May 11, 2007 -> 11:17 PM) Sweeney sits against a lefty, not shocked. I think it's the right move
  16. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 11, 2007 -> 10:15 PM) BP also had the Red Sox at .03% or something of winning the WS when they were down 3-0 to the Yanks back in 2004. Either the Red Sox achieve some kind of science miracle, or BP is full of s***. I wonder which one it is. Aren't the Red Sox the only team in NBA or MLB history to come back from a 3-0 deficit?
  17. Chris Burke was sent down by the Astros. It would be a great time for KW to buy low. Also, it might give us our 2nd baseman for next year.
  18. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ May 11, 2007 -> 06:15 PM) Jermaine Dye returns from the dead tonight. Hopefully he invites Konerko to join him. Anything to get my mind off the Bulls. I'm pretty sure that Odalis made him his b**** last year. Padilla and Perez were the two guys who made him look extremely silly.
  19. Predicted lineup: Erstad/Ozuna/PK/Dye/AJP/Crede/Iguchi/Uribe/Terrero Don't be mad if Sweeney doesn't play.
  20. Great game to have to follow from work. Every time I refreshed the game, the Twins had made another out.
  21. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 10, 2007 -> 07:18 PM) 4-4 in steals. .517 OBP. I'll always love him for his at-bat against Lidge in the 8th. Him and Blum are definitely guys I'll always root for.
  22. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 10, 2007 -> 04:44 PM) I think Ryan will develop power eventually, but I still think he looks like a #2 hitter to me. High OBP, tons of contact, sees alot of pitches, good speed. He kinda reminds me of Jeter putting fastballs oppo and pulls breaking balls. Yeah, he's never going to be a 20 homer guy. However, he still breaks a ton of bats right now, and he doesn't really have gap power. As we've mentioned, when he hits the ball real well to the opposite field, it's just a warning track fly out. I think he'll be a very good #2 hitter though, especially if he learns to clear his hips. He's already our best hitter at taking tough pitches and letting them go for balls. I wouldn't even mind if he struck out more on 3-2 pitches if that meant he turned on more pitches (of course, this is stuff he'll improve on as he goes along).
  23. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 10, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) Maybe we should make a trade for Troy Glaus? He'll be available soon. Alex Rios would still look good here. No place for Glaus to play. I'd love to get Rios though, he'd be a great fit in RF to replace Dye after this year.
  24. I never thought I'd see the day where Ozuna would get 5 straight starts against righty pitching. The worst thing is we have him in the #2 spot, and we're not even taking advantage of his bat control.

The title of this thread got me excited, but there's nothing to this story.
