  1. Bulls*** called 3rd on Kearns. The ump hadnt been calling that pitch all day.
  2. What I meant by saying he doesnt swing is that he had the most half-assed swings I've seen by a non-pitcher in some time. He acts completely disinterested when he's playing, and then b****es when he's not.
  3. If Barry Larkin were to sign with the Sox, I would never go to a game again. He doesn't even swing. Someone needs to retire!
  4. Wish I could say he was safe, but he was barely out. Walker got off a very weak throw on that ball to make it closer than it should have been.
  5. BTW, I hate ex-Twins players. Mohr would not have thrown the guy out at home.
  6. f*** the Giants. What a terrible defensive inning there by the Giants.
  7. Giants are going to likely lose cause of terrible defense.
  8. f*** yeah. Anyone else worried that Mabry's might have been gone?
  9. I hope Lidge is coming in, you can't take your chance against this part of the Cards lineup.
  10. 6-4 on a double by Berkman!
  11. Roger Cedeno is so bad in the outfield. Hey, I'll take it thought!!!! Do they go with Lidge for 2 innings here?
  12. 2 outs, guy on 3rd for Bagwell
  13. Come on Beltran, pretend you're facing a Chicago team!
  14. Good job Ausmus...Lets get Beltran up with someone on here.
  15. If Garner took out Clemens to save him for Sunday's game, that's incredibly foolish. You have to worry about winning this game, and let things work out afterwards. Who gives them the best chance to win this game: Clemens for one more inning or Qualls?
  16. Yeah, he definitely missed his spot with Rolen. However, I would never try to throw an inside fastball to Rolen with the short porch in LF at Houston. Clemens has been dominating Cardinals with his splitter, but his fastball has been hittable.
  17. Clemens didnt get any favors from the home plate umpire that inning. Why on earth would he just pipe a first pitch fastball to Rolen though? Ugh
  18. What a f***ing disgrace Craig Biggio is in the field. Any decent outfielder would have caught that liner....instead, it turned into 2 runs for the Cardinals.
  19. If this was DJ on the Sox, he'd get picked off here. I LOVE YOU KEARNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. I have no clue why the Reds didnt try to steal with Castro or a pinch runner against Farnsy there. Casey is so slow, and Farnsy takes forever to deliver the ball. This Reds bullpen is beyond awful though.

Yep, I have a lot of concern that Frank's foot problems will last the rest of his career. Frank isn't getting any smaller, and the more weight you put on your feet, the more stress you'll put on them. I know it would be a PR nightmare, but I would not be upset if the Sox somehow traded Frank or got him not to exercise his option. I love Frank and what he brings to the table, but the Sox could be better off using his money on other players. Why not make Carlos and Konerko the cornerstones of the team?

How about the fact that Everett is becoming old and broken down? I just can't see any way that a Sox fan would be content with him starting in the outfield next year. Ozzieball....I guess it means playing terrible defenders who are injury prone. Maybe we can get Piazza or Alou also!!!
  23. I know that Francisco wasnt in the Seattle deal, I was just pointing out he's on of the players we've given away that we could use. Yes, Olivo struggles vs rhp. However, he's still young enough where he can improve vs rhp. Remember, the Sox face a ton of lefties being in the AL central. With guys like Johan, Maroth, Robertson, the KC guys, C.C., Lee, and others, Olivo would get a lot of games in which he could face lefties. In regards to the drop in velocity for Freddy, I meant the whole season he was around 93 mph, not recently. Even before the Sox got Freddy, he was not nearly as good as he was at the beginning of the season. He had a great, great start. Let's just hope he has a strong season next year.
  24. Do those stats show that he's worthy of being a 9 mil per year pitcher? I doubt that they would. Also with Garcia, his heater has been dropping it seems each year. He used to throw 96 consistently, now that's down around 93 mph. It seems like everyone on the Sox drops in their velocity.
