  1. Sox just have a curse at KC and Oakland
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 04:03 PM) Infield in already... I like it.
  3. Please upgrade Catcher this winter Mr. Hahn.
  4. Looks like same old Cubs to me. Lester out already.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 4, 2015 -> 11:40 AM) And that is why no one takes the guy seriously. He will literally say anything to get ratings. Kaplan has been like Bruce Levine Cub lover always, nothing Sox do is ever good enough.
  6. I am rooting for Wisky over Duke..............If that would be 2 National Titles in 2 months for the Big Ten.
  7. Rodon replaces Danks for good by May 15th.
  8. The day Danks is no longer in the rotation is a GREAT day to be a Sox fan. Danks is a shell of his former self and If not for the bad contract would of been released or traded already.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 3, 2015 -> 05:00 PM) That's how it came across to me as well. The kid got yo enjoy some memorable moments. Who cares who set it up? Maybe he wants a Warrior Award. I'm sure SOXFEST will agree with Justin. I am not the only one who agrees with him. Powell's POV: This is a must read blog. While I wasn't there to know whether Justin's side of the story is 100 percent accurate, it sure seems very apparent to me that this was a very personal situation to him and that he's not just a guy with an axe to grind. Roberts also wrote that timekeeper Mark Yeaton was let go the day before his 30th anniversary with the company. He added that former employees such as Yeaton are contractually restricted from speaking out against the company, Roberts' deal did not include that language. Per Prowrestling net About 12 hours before WWE inducted WWE fan Connor Michalek a/k/a Connor the Crusher into the WWE Hall of Fame, executive Stephanie McMahon tweeted a stunning quote from one of Twitter's founders at WWE's annual business partners meeting. Without providing context, Stephanie quoted co-founder Biz Stone that "philanthropy is the future of marketing" and "how brands are going to win." The tweet was the impetus for former WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts to write a detailed blog on WWE's relationship with Connor, several months after being released from his contract. After "biting his tongue," Roberts says he decided to publicly question whether Connor's Cure and Connor's Hall of Fame induction was "driven by sincerity and not strategy." After detailing the entire relationship between WWE and Connor step-by-step, which Roberts noted he was a big part of during his time in WWE, Roberts concluded: "I watched the Hall of Fame and cried my eyes out. I bit my tongue and swallowed my pride for a long time, hoping everything stemmed from the kindness of their hearts. I thank all of the talent and employees who did and still do everything to help people, out of their kindness and not for business purposes. When I was reading Twitter this weekend, I felt like I was punched in the gut. Despite rewriting the story and using it to pat themselves on the back for being a standup organization, I wish Connor’s Cure and Connor’s induction into the Hall of Fame were driven by sincerity and not strategy. But sadly, it looks like they are just part of the 'philanthropic' future of marketing." Inside Roberts's blog was his assertion of how WWE "re-wrote the story," whether it was to serve a larger purpose of marketing WWE corporately or sincerely raising awareness for pediatric brain research. Roberts pointed to the back-story on the video packages that WWE airs at house shows, which features Stephanie crying when talking about Connor, as why he questions the sincerity. Per PW Torch
  10. Only so many bullpen positions all these guys cannot make the team even with injuries.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 3, 2015 -> 04:21 PM) I am guessing the technicality is that they need a positive test, and they didn't get one. That is a good point.............I see the Angels are furious he was not suspended.
  12. Ervin Santana has been suspended 80 games by Major League Baseball for testing positive for Stanozolol. Santana just signed a four-year, $55 million contract with the Twins over the offseason and will now miss the first half of his first season with the club. He won't be paid while suspended, so the Twins will at least get $6.75 million of that money back. It's obviously a big blow to a Twins team that was already looking like a likely last-place finish in the AL Central. Mike Pelfrey will replace Ervin Santana in the rotation. Source: MLB PR on Twitter
  13. Major League Baseball announced on Friday that Josh Hamilton will not be suspended. The arbitrator has ruled that Hamilton did not violate baseball's drug policy when he relapsed, so commissioner Rob Manfred has no authority to suspend him. Manfred said he disagreed with the decision, but it doesn't matter at this point. The Angels will now have to pay Hamilton his full $23 million salary for 2015. The outfielder is working his way back from shoulder surgery and is expected to miss the first month of the season. Source: Mike DiGiovanna on Twitter Do not get this at all he admitted drug use and gets off scott free?
  14. http://411mania.com/wrestling/justin-rober...-crusher-story/ Good article on WWE telling things to benefit the company, from guy who set things in motion with Connor.
  15. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 2, 2015 -> 09:07 PM) This seems like it's just a matter of time before its done. May be the offseason but I think it'll get done. If both sides are happy late July after trade deadline it will get done.
  16. This team is a hell of a lot better than 2014 team. I am very excited for this season.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 2, 2015 -> 09:18 AM) Per Brad Biggs, Roberto Garza has been informed he will be released. It was a quality career in a Bears uniform for that man Was surprised Garza was back last year his performance not real good last 2 years.
  18. Members of the Anoa’i family were said to be very upset with the end of Wrestlemania 31 on Sunday when they learned that plans changed and Roman Reigns wasn’t going to win the WWE title. Reigns’ father Sika was “looking to start a war”. A source said: “Sika forgot this business is not real life, and was legit pissed at the finish and looking to start a war. A lot of the younger (family members) were rallying around Sika, but the other 45 or 50 of them talked some reason.” Credit: The Wrestling Observer via Rajah Scott Steiner was banned from HOF ceremony after a fight with Hogan's wife on a airplane.
  19. At Raw fans began a “You suck Cena” chant at Nikki Bella during the third-hour Divas match. After this caught on, it was extended to all the Divas except AJ and Paige. Natalya got a “You suck Tyson” chant, Brie got a “You suck Bryan” chant and so on. Roman Reigns had the most heat from the crowd out of anyone on the show, with Big Show and Kane getting cheered when they got in any offense against him. Ryback seemed to be liked to a point. The crowd also did various NXT chants during the main event, calling for Sami Zayn, Hideo Itami and several others. They also began doing various gimmick chants, such as Enzo Amore’s “How you doin’?” and chanting “Breeze is gorgeous.” Per 411 Wrestling http://411mania.com/wrestling/paul-heyman-...his-girlfriend/ Latest Heyman Hustle funny cameo at end.
  20. Anyone else see Soto replacing Flowers as everyday catcher by late May?
  21. QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 31, 2015 -> 03:22 PM) Still booing Reigns is ridiculous, he's been entertaining in the ring when he hasn't had to face the likes of Show and Kane. His dive over the ropes last night was fantastic, so athletic, so explosive.....But because the smarks have already decided they hate him he's gonna struggle to get really get over. . If fans do not care for him too bad for Vince. Fans pay to see the show and booing Reigns is fans way of telling VKM how they feel. VKM always has said the audience says who gets over time for him to practice what he preaches. 90% of the crowds are not Smarks.
  22. WWE turned down the crowd audio “to a ridiculous degree” during last night’s Raw main event – Vince McMahon is reportedly very high on Lana, and has big plans for her. Credit: f4wonline.com Reigns boos making VKM turn audio down.
  23. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 31, 2015 -> 09:15 AM) I would definitely sign him to a minor league deal. He had his chances no to return.
