  1. Sox have a terrible habit last few years thinking scoring 2 runs in the first inning then 8 innings of nada is enough to win games.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 30, 2013 -> 08:57 PM) Who could replace him? Casper Wells in CF? Wise? Danks? Those are the only guys capable of playing CF, and Wise really shouldn't be there anymore. He cannot be in plans past 2013 at all. Hahn better have a plan.
  3. Rangers take advantage RISP...........Sox piss chances away.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2013 -> 08:52 PM) De Aza is a very bad baseball player so far this year. De Aza job needs to in jeopardy because he is hurting the team this year. Q is toast.
  5. De Aza the clown in LF this is beyond belief. 4-2 not looking good this is White Sox baseball.
  6. All these RISP left on base is going to hurt later in this game.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 30, 2013 -> 08:08 AM) It happened with Mackowiak and Alex Cintron. Let's face it, this guy may be around a couple of weeks at most, but they need a RH bat and there is slim pickings in Charlotte. If Wells contributes at all Wise or Danks will be gone.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 29, 2013 -> 09:17 PM) Sox will have to clear a spot on the 40 man roster to make room. In order to clear room on the 40-man roster, the White Sox placed left-hander Leyson Septimo back on the 60-day disabled list. Per Mlbrumors
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 29, 2013 -> 09:17 PM) I believe he was out on waivers a few days ago. Wells was designated for assignment over the weekend for the third time in the last month. He'll serve as an extra outfielder for the Palehose. Per Rotoworld
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 29, 2013 -> 07:00 PM) Cue same article in 2001, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, etc. Really, the guy has no choice what to say if he's going to keep his job. It's not like he can tout any of our minor leaguers coming up and making much of a difference, so it's logical enough to say when Beckham/Danks/Viciedo/Keppinger and Floyd are back, they should be a much more competitive team. It's logical to at least believe that Dunn and Konerko will be better than what they've shown. With Flowers, it's more of what you see is what you get... The main problem with this "patience" line is that this is Ventura's SECOND year now. He should have learned something from last year. When you are outgunned from a talent standpoint, sheerly from a comparison of the starting line-ups on a daily basis...then you have to make up for it somehow with execution, hitting the cutoff man, limiting the opposing team's running game, hitting with RISP, advancing runners, bunting, errors across the field (going from 1st in defense to near the bottom), etc. We've been horrible in almost any "eye test" category you could make up, and surely the SABR numbers back that up. That said....how much of it is just a matter of lacking talent or just not being very good vs. lack of preparation/execution/mental mistakes? Broken record Rongey management mouthpiece.
  11. Needed a RH bench bat time to tell Wise goodbye.
  12. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 04:43 PM) I'll give Dylan some credit, he's been pitching pretty solidly. Take away his start in Washington and his ERA is 2.33 Axe keeps pitching like this, he might make some interesting trade bait. Dylan salary is cheap..............Floyd at 9 Mil will be 1st to go.
  13. Sox need to change the Sunday family slogan to No defense and plenty of walks.
  14. Where is all this great talent Sox have developed according to Hawk and Buddy Bell? It's like Te'o girlfriend because it does not exist.
