MLB investigating Padres for hiding health info
Padres GM was sanctioned by MLB. I wonder if we and others get some kind of restitution?

Misc. Sox Quotes & Tweets
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) They could have let him walk away and not pay him a dime. He looked like he could still play this spring. I think they looked at the veteran in Rollins when making their starting SS decision. I always liked Saladino and I think Rollins was meant to be almost a player/coach to help the SS youngsters. The Sox got away from that. Saladino was penciled in as the super IF sub. The injury to Lawrie changed that. Really a question of what do they plan for 2017. If Lawrie is healthy I think he starts at 2B and Anderson at SS and Frazier at 3B. Saladino returns to the super IF sub role. Now if we trade Lawrie then Sally starts and Garcia and Sanchez play the super role

Pregame Stretch LOL
QUOTE (TLAK @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 05:21 PM) Went to my first game in a while yesterday and during pregame stretching Anderson, Saladino and Sanchez were mimicking every move that Frazier made. He'd sprint and they would follow behind like ducklings, he'd scratch his nose and they would scratch their noses. He'd run sideways and they would run sideways all in a row. It was hilarious, lasted the whole stretch. Is this a regular thing or a reaction to Frazier's quotes on winning the Sox Heart and Hustle award? "Other days you're a teacher, other days you're having a good time with them but you have to do that so they learn and understand what it is to be part of the Chicago White Sox and a baseball player. Take for example Timmy Anderson, kind of take him under my wing. I tell them you have any questions come and talk to me. That's a big part of being a leader." Everyone seemed to enjoy it, the other players, Frazier and the fans. I saw some video of this last night either on CSN or MLBN. I loved it. Shows great team spirit

MLB investigating Padres for hiding health info
QUOTE (shysocks @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 05:27 PM) But seriously, Shields' peripherals and velocity were foreshadowing trouble well before the 10-run outing. There was no way to know he'd be such a white-hot dumpster fire, but there were definitely reasons to oppose that trade as rumors of it came out. I don't think the Sox have any excuses here, but if they can get some kind of remedy then good for them. Velocity is always good but location is key in my opinion. If you have back trouble you leave the ball up and have a hard time locating. 92 mph orso is not bad

MLB investigating Padres for hiding health info
Shields had a back problem. my guess is the Padres didn't know if it was real bad so they traded him out of their concerns. Now our medical staff to says it isn't worse than maybe the Padres thought but no doubt it has affected Big J. He looked real good yesterday but we know back problem cause real problems pitching and we saw that. I am banking he will be good in 2017 and in our rotation. We need him and Gonzalez with

Looks like a bad throw by Narvaez and it skips into CF and runner at third. Robertson gets a K for out 2

Pitching has been strong for the Sox and if we can get the bullpen solidified in 2017 we could be somebody's next year

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 09:16 PM) The team would be tons better if he could give us even #5 starter type of stuff, let alone a #3/#4 starter. I figure Shields will be back next year. Question then becomes do we bring up Fulmer or keep Gonzalez or both?

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 07:23 PM) Want to see Anderson get back to hitting line drives and driving the ball. Seems like an insane number of ground outs for him of late, as he has only two extra base hits in last 16 games. Thankfully he's BABIP his way into a good average this month. Just watching him either pulling off those outside two strike pitches levitate getting fooled is troubling. Rally killer. Hopefully experience helps him
