QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 07:09 PM) I'll bet Kenny was laughing his ass off at this one. Kenny is too cool to laugh.A legend in hs own mind maybe just like how Ozzie acted

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 11:19 PM) Sox acquired INF Jose Castro from Cincinnati. Castro will be assigned to Charlotte. - Gonzo Adios Beckham! PS. OH IRONY! Beckham is not gone for Castro. Castro had his best hitting season last year at 24/25 years of age but has no pop at all and doesn't steal bases. I see him as back up infielder at Charlotte

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 07:34 PM) Who else is impressed with the managing of Ventura so far? I have to say it is quite nice to see a manager who knows how to fill out a lineup card on getaway day and make better choices with his bullpen. I know it has been a small sample size but I for one am happy with the current manager so far...but I am not surprised either. As much as I loved Ozzie's dictator attitude and swagger, it's nice to have a manager who has a brain and will make better decisions for us on a day to day basis. Robin knows baseball and so did Ozzie Guillen. We won a World Series with Ozzie at the helm. I wouldn't be so quick to throw Guillen under the bus. They all say, and so did Ozzie, that managers are hired to be fired. Saying that though I like Robin Ventura -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 07:14 PM) Ohman gets used properly and does his job. Correctamundo. Ohman came back from a 3-1 count to get him. Will's job is to be that one hitter type pitcher usually- situational if you will. It seems we had some issues in the past with our releif guys giving up the hit to the first batter and then getting folks out afterwards. Hope this is changing and sure appears it is -

Looks like Masterson's sinker is up and then he used the changeup down and that's what Gordon went after. The other two were out of the zone -

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 05:18 PM) No excuses for Danks today. This has to be a win today. It seems our pitchers have trouble getting past that first inning sometimes without a run being allowed. Must be the cold in Cleveland. Hard to get a feel for the ball maybe? -

Darn early Spring games. Hopefully they get the game in as you sure don't want a bunch of doubleheaders later in the season -

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 03:26 AM) Take a second and think about what Chris Sale did tonight. He absolutely dominated a major league lineup in his FIRST ever professional start. That is amazing. He certainly impressed the ESPN BBTN crew

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 05:59 AM) For all you out-of-towners, he will pitch against the Tigers this Sunday on WGN. That will be a real test for Christopher, and the whole world will be able to see it. EDIT: And then his following start vs. the Mariners is also on WGN. Thanks for the update Joe. I for one will be looking forward to the televised game

QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:23 PM) I agree, but his ability to throw out runners is pathetic. Pitchesd have to help catchers by holding runners on base and slow deliveries don't help matters ewither. AJ may not have the best arm, but he isn't that bad either if given a chance. Now with Mark Buerhle gone the other hurlers have to improve for sure

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 04:10 AM) Or Cespedes-Heavy! Now 9 K's in 15 AB's for Yoenis, the ultimate all-or-nothing hitter. Can we really compare these two yet? Cespededs with no minor league expereince and Viciedo with three and struggling at times. I am hoping Dayan blossoms and his moving around to different positions probably hasn't helped, but I am not going to say trading Santos and Quentin and letting MB walk were great moves by KW just because we are a few games into the season and they aren't at the top of their game at this point. They are gone and we have a different team for 2012. I appreciate all those three did for the Sox and we are moving on just as they are.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:46 AM) So far Santiago's normal curve has been a better pitch than the screwball. Did he use that screwball this game? Maybe one? -

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:43 AM) Maybe our vet catcher can stop calling fastballs over and over and over. There were a lot of them. 8 I think ranging from 92-94 adn one at 194 out of the park -
