  1. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 08:25 PM) Let's double steal here with AR and Pods and Becham can get the big hit Never mind
  2. Let's double steal here with AR and Pods and Becham can get the big hit
  3. Torres pitches through adversity. That's a good thing right there I tell you
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 08:10 PM) We need a Dye homer here. Wait ... he aint playing. WHAT!
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 08:06 PM) Detroit is just way too far ahead of us. But we all know that. You gotta believe my friend-believe believe etc etc
  6. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 08:05 PM) but sadly not like That must be the new Minor League helmet for next year they are talking about
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 08:05 PM) Detroit about to win again. We should be mathematically eliminated fairly soon. Not if we start winning too. I would like to at least make it interesting so when we see the Tigers it means something
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 08:04 PM) Its all about location and movement, and he's showing he's good at both right now. That is key for sure
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 08:01 PM) Maybe El Rockin. Since he likes to pitch from the stretch maybe he should be a choice to replace Liney/Dotel. I am thinking either one or both of those guys are gone. I might keep Dotel over Linebrink at this point though
  10. What is the fastest fastball Torres has thrown today?
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 07:59 PM) You could get him for cheaper than that. Give him a million and a team option for year 2. I am thinking he has shown he desrrves mor than the $1M he is getting this year. Maybe $2M?
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 07:55 PM) Dempster's doing well. Or our hitters are doing badly depending on your perspective. We need a huge 6 innings from Torres. Can he deliver??? He did it once in the first two starts so I am thinking he can if he doesn't start getting scared or something. We might be looking at our 5th satrter for next season. What do you think?
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 07:53 PM) Pods sure can hit. Now if he could just get a baserunnng lesson we'd be set. I hope we sign him for 2010
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 07:47 PM) Carlos's control looks good, getting ahead of hitters then throwing soft stuff low. Keep them guessing
  15. Could we get Hoyt Wilhelm, Bob Locker, Wilbur Wood and Don McMahon back?
  16. The question about Brandon Allen begs the question of what will happen to PK. Will Konerko stay with the Sox until retirement? That might be 5 or 6 more years and if he does stay Allen had no place to play with the Sox. It would appear that Pena for Allen is not working out for the Sox, but reagrdless Allen was trade bait to some team IMO
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:57 AM) It wasn't a trade; it was basically a release. No doubt we would not have re-signed him in 2010
  18. QUOTE (kev211 @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:52 AM) KW knows that we will be facing the Dodgers in the World Series, and this way Thome will get a ring no matter which way the series goes. Good one! But, I think a 50th anniversary reunion in the WS is probably out of the question. Not completely mind you but unlikely
  19. QUOTE (WCSox @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 08:28 PM) Whatever you may think of Alexei at SS, I'm pretty sure that he'll still be our starting SS in April. Beckham will most likely stay at 3B (where he's adjusted nicely) and Nix has made Alexei look like Ozzie Smith in comparison. There aren't very many in-house options and Kenny doesn't have enough financial flexibility (or prospects) to go after another Orlando Cabrera this winter. There's no doubt that he will be the starting SS in 2010 and I am guessing Beckham stays at 3B, but i see more of a chance for Beckham to move to another IF position than Alexei moving. I still wonder where Viciedo with his 39 errors is it fits in?
  20. He can be a real good SS. I think folks tend to forget he played out of position at 2B last year and I thought did well there and now he is back to SS. Next yer he should be much better. He has tremendous range for sure.
  21. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) I havent felt this good since................................. The last time I had an orgasm, which was about 2005
  22. We won a game at the HumphreyDUMP and did it off the Twinkies best releif pitcher. Let's make a statement for 2010, but I agree with others - I ain't giving up yet!
  23. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 08:38 PM) Gawn Bobbie hung in there tio get that 9 pitch K
