I'll report in as soon as I can after the trip. Saturday night we have seats behind home plate, but further back aways from the field. Sunday I had to buy 7 tickets so the nephews and their women could join us. My wife told them they could pay us back by buying us some beer and eats. The tickets cost $300 incluidng their taxes and fees. That's a lot of beer.

Did the one I start get ugly? I posted that I was headed to Seattle for the Saturday night and Sunday day games this coming weekend. I also had been in Colorado in June. Next year I am lanning on making it to Chicago for a series.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 03:17 AM) I'd much rather the Twins not acquire Soriano. Hell, the best chance at beating the Twins is when Mays and Lohse pitch. With Mauer, Morneau, Ford, and Lecroy swinging the bat well these days, adding Soriano would help them a lot. Right on! I do believe though they were trying to trade for him before the deadline. Claiming him off waivers just seems the logical move. Many times the waiver thing is just to gauge interest. I think it is unlikely, but of course possible, that the Twinkles get A Soriano

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 03:16 AM) I just did it real fast Contreas then Garland I appreciate that. I saw Contreras in Denvder when he won 2-1 and the only thing better than seeing Jon would be Mark too.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 03:16 AM) This needed a thread because Because I am a Sox fan and have been and want to let everyone know and maybe someone will send me some beer money and I'll have a cold one for all of you. When you've been around a bit longer than you can ask me those kinds of cracy questions.

I plan on going to Seattle for the Sox games of next Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Any idea what the pitching rotation will be? I went to Denver in June to see the Sox and they swept the series. I will see if I can work the same magic.

I predicted a win in yesterdays game thread. I will take credit

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 21, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) Adkins? I think I just lost my lunch. 4 runs against the Yankees is definitely not a sure thing. I still have nightmares of the Foulke debacle vs them a few years ago, when Giambi hit the 9th inning homer. I agree with you. The ole stomach is churning just thinking about it. I forgot to add Adkins earlier as some one who could go down to bring up some extra help. -

If Jose is done for the day who is warming up? Is he giving Adkins work or bringing in Hermy? -

Has Randy Johnson found it or sonething? The one big inning has always been the achilles heel of the Sox pitching and it bit RJ today. Good for us -

Looking back to that last inning with runners at 2nd and 3rd and 1 out how the offesne slipped right back into what has been ailing us. 2 K's when all we needed from Anderson was a fly ball or grounder to the right side. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 21, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) Just a suggestion: Crede should come in at 3b after this inning. Defensively YES! Ozuna sucks out there -

If Anderson got sent down I think Borchard should be called up instead. He has some ML experience and something to prove. Drop Ozuna or Perez and bring up Gload if you desire. -

I think the kid Anderson was overmatched by this here Johnson guy. 3-2 count and you get caught looking at strike 3. Protect the plate youngster! -

QUOTE(flyg88182 @ Aug 21, 2005 -> 09:27 AM) I don't post on here ever, but every single day for the last 2 years I have been on soxtalk reading up on posts. So many sox fans are worried right now and getting nervous. Guys any team right now would love to be in the position the Sox are in right now. Its the first slump of the year and people are panicing. The hitters are trying too hard. We all know were a better team then this and we will show it tomorow afternoon. We have to face the fact that were not trading for anybody. It is almost September. No one is coming here. This is the team we have and we are sticking with it. The offense will get it going. I had never been more dissapointed after watching the loss yesterday, but i cooled down and im over it now. We gotta have faith in this team. We are going to the playoffs. The indians or the twins aren't passing us, we are too good of a team and we have should that all season until about the last 2 weeks. This slump is over today vs. Randy Johnson. Lets get it going, and tomorow nite everyone on here will be happy. Sorry if i wasted peoples time whoever read this, but I had to just say how i felt. CHISOX IN 05! I read your post and panicking by some is a true depiction of what has been happening. I don't think all of us were, but feeling uneasy for sure. This game isn't over yet, but I called this in yesterday's post when I said that today could be the day when our homeruns come against the fireballing lefty RJ. -

3 up and 3 down in the 9th and so they go silently into the night... 7 straight. Maybe with a fireballer like Johnson pitching a couple of lucky contacts with the ball will end up in the bleachers. -

If anyone has access to the Sox web page they might want to change the heading from "seeking end to 6 game losing treak" to seven game. Or maybe "there is no light at the end of the tunnel." -

QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 06:26 PM) Your question has been answered I am sorry to say that it has! I just hope this hapless bunch of stumblebums gets their do-do in order before we see a massive collapse and the Tribe and Twins are in the playoffs.
