White Sox vs. Twins 09/18/05
We need some hitters that can actually hit in the clutch.

Keep Writing the Sox Off, friends + foes
QUOTE(beck72 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 12:33 PM) The key is a win would give the sox players confidence. Make the flight home one that they can laugh a little, relax and get them in the right frame of mind for the Indians series. I want them to win as much as any Sox fan on this board, but Beck you have to wonder if they have lost that edge that kept them coming back from diversity? I think they have the ability, but the next few days will tell if they have the heart. I still believe they do though. Go Sox!

Will El Duque be a starter for the playoffs?
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) If he keeps starting, we won't have to worry about the playoffs. You have that correct. We can't afford to keep this guy starting

Don't Look Now Volume 2
I would not be happy to settle for a Wild Card spot in the playoffs. Tis team has led its division ALL year long and now are in such a tail spin as to lead to talk of finishing as the Wild card team. It wouldn't matter if we did make it to the playoffs as the WC becasue we would blow that too. These veterans had better get their stuff together and our manager had better find a way to motivate and lead this team to some wins. That's his job for crying out loud and he sticks with pitchers that can't make it out of the 3rd or 4th inning when he has a rookie that has shut down two of the big powerhouse offenses in the league in Boston and Texas and won't start him. I guess we are all expected to look back on this season after we blow it and say Ozzie stuck by his players even when it costs us a chance for a pennant. Ozzie and company you need to WAKE UP!

Back to the 1940s - Sox vs Twinkies 9-17
That inning just kind of highlights in big bold letters how we have been playing lately. WE SUCK! Bases loaded and nobody out and then 3 straight K's and we lose. Some real pathetic at bats today. Dye with a hat trick 4 k's in 4 at bats. Crede 3 k's in 3 at bats and Rowand 3 k's in 4.

I wish game day had remained stuck

MLB Game Day is stuck with Everett at bat and 2 strikes

However, I am not sure Everett is who I want up against Nathan

We knocked out Satan-ana

BMAC did what the El Dukee couldn't do. In more ways then one. Are yu watching this Ozzie or did you go home already?

Well now... 2 singles in a row for the Twinkies. I hope I didn't speakie to soonie

Thanks BMAC for the 4 pitch strike out. I like it when the relief pitcher comes in and makes a statement right away. If our offense will only get serious maybe just maybe we can still mount a rally.

I am happy for A-Row and the Sox. There will be no no-hitter, but Satan-ana comes right back and makes easy meat out of Dye and Uribe. I had to correct my typo

Viz stops the bleeding. Ford pops up for the third out

Lew Ford up? Didin't we just see him at the start of the inning. What happened El Duque? Ozzie talk to us?

You can't get suspended for speaking your mind I wouldn't think. It's just the way you do it. In the meantime Duke has loaded the bases. I hope Ozzie doesn't use McCarthy as it's too late now for it to do any good. Unless McCarthy gets stretched out and then put in the rotation.

For crying out loud Ozzie what in the heck did you leave The Duckie in for? Now it's 4-0 and some unknown rookie has 3 hits including a triple and 2 rbi's against him. He is done!

Lew Ford with a 2 run homer. I am afriad we may be done now. You can't throw 70 plus picthes over 3 or 4 innings and be successful. I just don't understand why Ozzie refuses to pitch McCarthy.

Our pitchers should pay attention also. MLB gameday is what I am relying on, but you see his pitch pattern. Up and down and uses both sides of the plate and of course I am sure he is using that change up to his best advantage.

El Dukee gives me the fits, but for the most part I really admire his ability to battle out of jams. He doesn't give in, but he burns himself out within 4 to 5 innings

two innings in arow the Ducke puts two runners on. This is not good

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) Pablo will pop up the bunt to the catcher. Thats how our execution has been lately. We got 2 hit last night by a Rookie last night. I am expecting a no hitter to go into the 7th inning for our team. I won't take you up on that bet. In fact I might even counter your statement by saying we get no-hit through 8. The offensive display as been consistently inconsistent and for the most part pathetic

I don't know who this Tyner kid is leading off for the Twinkies, but he has El Duk's number. He has the only 2 hits of the game so far.

Another 3 uip 3 down for the Sox but on the bright side I see that Santana strikeout projection is down to 18 for the game. I believe we are making progress and about to see a break through.
