  1. a fifth ball, but now astrike. Maybe that's what he needs
  2. 4 straight balls! NOOOO! Come on Jenks
  3. He's got to keep himself under control and throw those hard strikes
  4. Jenks needs to make up for last night
  5. QUOTE(Reddy @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 02:54 AM) he's about to get surpased by Reyes who's at 55 That's what I was thinking. The guy has been caught something like 23 plus times and hasn't been safe for what a couple weeks?
  6. Do you think we will see Pods steal another baase this year?
  7. Can we get an insurance run? Let me hear it for an insurance run!
  8. Cliff hung on and got that third out. Crisp with a grounder
  9. You gotta believe! I'll tell you what to believe after the game
  10. We broke the slump of having a runner on 2nd and no out and not scoring. Uribe is the man and we are tied. Now can Buerhle hold them?
  11. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 01:00 AM) Typical Sox pitching of late....tie it or even take a lead...then give it right back to them... Thought I would try it again and saw Crede hit the homer to tie it. Buerhle then turns right around to give it back to the Tribe. What is the matter with our so called aces?
  12. I logged onto CBS sportsline with the score showing 0-0. The next thing it's the Tribe at 2-0. I then watch PK, Pierz and Dye all K. I am signing off for awhile just so I can breath. The record book awaits us people, if this team can't get its stuff together. We will set the record for failing to hold a 15 1/2 game lead. I just can't believe it. Well I guess it ain't over till it's over.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) Put Baj out there... Sadly, though, he's been one of our most effective arms as of late. Hell I wouldn't know Neal Cotts plays in Chicago, either. You don't known whether to admire Ozzie for sticking with people who don't get the job done or be angry. Joe Borchard is showing some hitting ability, but he sits while Everett and Dye struggle. Anderson was used much more than Borchard and he only had one good game. Why go over the stats and names again. I think they have all been beaten to death. Maybe all this will pay off in the end, but on the other hand we have seen 13 games lopped off our lead too.
  14. I also heard from some dude on ESPN that he didn't think the Indians were going to win the division because their pitching rotation matchups weren't there for them. Anyway these guys change their opinions almost every week. Nothing special about them as paid analysts because we all do that here on Soxtalk for free.
  15. I can just hear the Hawk. Paulie got his pitch and was just abit under it. It is fitting to lose our fianl chance to win the game on the old pop up. It's the favorite out of the Sox other than the DP. Well, maybe our ace pitcher will show he actually has something left tomorrow and we will be back up 3.5.
  16. Wickman lost the strike zone versus Carl. At est we are in aposition for apossible win with PK. If he can come through in the clutch
  17. Carl take the walk please
  18. Don't give up boys. Pods with a single.
  19. There's that famous low one just out of the strike zone that Crede made a strike for out #1. It happens every time
  20. Don't want to belabor the point, but what the heck. The last week or so especially when we get some offesne our pitching takes a trip to the outhouse. That's our bread and butter-pitching. We get pitching and no offense, but still beat the Twinkies twice 2-1. These guys are too inconsistent at this point to expect we can hold on against the surging Tribe.
  21. Hermanson dials it up a notch versus Broussard a batter or two too late.
  22. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Haffner double in the insurance run for the Tribe.
  23. Here we go with the blocked balls in the dirt again also. Almost like a recurring nightmare. What's next?
  24. Hermy just walks Peralta. We don't need to lay with fire here Hermy. Please get them out.
