  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:48 PM) Hard to say that on a day he's 4-5 with a homer Inconsistently hits, consistently plays terrible defense. I want to like him but he's not doing his job
  2. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:45 PM) Why did Pujols slide into home makes no sense? Trying to create an earthquake
  3. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:42 PM) I must have misunderstood. It's all good!
  4. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:38 PM) Did you see Veal's last inning? Why would you keep him in? I know you write articles for yahoo or whatever but you don't have to defend and make up dumb reasons to defend your team's media. Especially when we are watching Ventura's second failure f*** this team for a second time. Consider what's actually happening when making your argument. I have no idea what you're talking about. I was saying that Robin screwed up by not having someone ready.
  5. They just showed what happened. Veal f***ed up the substitution EDIT: I guess not
  6. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:33 PM) Why the f*** is Veal in? Is Ventura completely mad. They pretty much explained it. Couldn't get anyone loose in time, didn't think we were going to be in the game.
  7. This is where I wish Dunn was coming up next inning
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:25 PM) What happened to rios I never heard an explanation
  9. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:23 PM) Well he shouldn't be in this league and Ventura should consider that. If there are exceptions to your rule Veal is it. Unfortunately, you can't hide anyone in your bullpen, especially with how much the top guys have been used lately
  10. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:22 PM) You really don't understand the talent of either Sale or Peavy if you put Santiago in front of one of them. Peavy used to be more talented. Veteran savvy is now a much bigger part of Peavy's success when his fastball is slower and straighter and his slider doesn't bite as much.
  11. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:15 PM) My response: Donnie's a LOOGY and should only face lefties. Reality's response: Callaspo hit a 3 run homer. I agree Jones should have been taken out, but "nobody else is fresh" is a weak excuse. You have someone ready so it doesn't get to that. "Just the 7th inning" what the hell does that mean? We got blown out of the game in the 7th inning. Maybe if it was handled better it'd be 5-4 and we'd be within striking distance. You don't wait for the 8th and 9th innings to start making sound decisions. That is how almost any manager would have played it. The issue is the player, not bullpen management. If you want a lefty to pitch to Hamilton and Jones is toast, you don't put in some other guy to also have the wrong matchup. Your LOOGY has to be able to pitch to a switch hitter and/or a righty between lefties. If he can't, he shouldn't be in the MLB
  12. Santiago is the second most talented pitcher on the roster. What a waste he would be in the bullpen
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:07 PM) Putting in Veal to face a switch hitter has to be one of Venturas most mind boggling decision ever. Why? Jones had to get out, nobody else is fresh, and it is just the seventh inning.
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 18, 2013 -> 06:05 PM) I assume you're joking I'm serious. This whole thing blew up because we didn't trust our starter and now we lose AND burn the bullpen.
  15. Pulling Hector was the main mistake today.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 18, 2013 -> 04:53 PM) The Sox are a complete joke if that happens, but you are probably right. I will be furious if that happens. How stupid
  17. Who can we call up to be new backup C? I don't like backups that can't play defense
