  1. WOW I thought Kepp was going to f*** that up.
  2. Hamilton is pulling out way too early. His hips were sold out while his hands were lagging behind there. He's lucky he's still so talented that it it went 400 feet. Should have been yanked out of the ballpark.
  3. Pitch around him, he might get himself out but if not I wouldn't take any chances
  4. QUOTE (MAX @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:53 PM) Conor was a huge pick up, regardless of this teams record. Best young 3B we've had since Crede. And it's been bad between then and now. You will not be missed, Brent Morel's back!
  5. Crain's 10th season, only one has been negative in WAR (2007). That's about as consistent as set-up men come.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:48 PM) Yeah, he got a pitch to hit finally and just couldn't make contact. Once again though, his eye at the plate put him in a hole. We can Manto that.
  7. QUOTE (DirtySox @ May 15, 2013 -> 08:45 PM) http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article....rticleid=20582# In other words, they are unconvinced by the hot start. I'd show caution too with his iffy track record. Could be him finally catching up after the illness and somewhat quick promotions, or it could just be a blip
  8. Well that was the right one to swing at, but he just whiffed
  9. So we have applauded Flowers for increasing his aggressiveness, but now he needs to counteradjust
  10. Robin says you can shove that Wise PH up your ass! Kepp the BB MASTER
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:39 PM) No, what it say? How Close Jeff Keppinger Has Come LA ANGELS BASEBALL
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:40 PM) Didn't he have a clause in his contract he had to get promoted to the majors in his first year? Yeah. Didn't work out Sale-style for him, though. Back to the minors for 3 years
  13. Viciedo finally learning that when you're this dangerous, you don't have to have a good eye to be able to take walks.
  14. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:38 PM) Gillaspie s confidence after working was awesome. Finally something to show he is not some weird ass mouthbreather. Apparently when he first broke into pro ball, he had some issues with being a hotshot in the clubhouse
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:38 PM) And then they'll walk Kepp Now THAT would be something. Did you catch FanGraphs breaking down all of Kepp's 3-ball counts?
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:37 PM) They should just do the insane here and intentionally advance the runners so they get the free out in Kepp. Might just do that
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:36 PM) Seems like it would have to be Konerko's call We dealt with this BS last year with Morel
  18. I'd like to point out that Conor Gillaspie just pimped a walk
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:35 PM) I feel like it would be Wise in CF, ADA in LF and Tank at DH Don't be so Robin-y
  20. It's a tough call whether you'd pitch around Conor to get to right handed Tank or not
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:32 PM) He is kinda swinging like his back is bothering him, as he's not turning on anything. I wrote about this in an upcoming article about hot/cold Sox minor leaguers, but I have to think Phegley could get serious consideration as an injury fill-in for PK. Could split defensive reps between DH and C with T-Flow
  22. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:31 PM) Just come out and say you want Kepp dead already Hawk. Kepp needs to suck so as not to take playing time from his beloved Beckham
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2013 -> 11:31 PM) Write this day down as a time when we agreed! With that said, good luck tomorrow!! So much for me getting sleep, right? I'll be in a medically induced nap for long enough anyway!
