  1. I wouldn't even do Mitchell for Volquez straight up. No f***ing way. Not sure that I'd even do it with Quintana.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 05:50 PM) He could take Humber's spot... I'm not about to give up on Phil Humber. Seems like Robin and I have about the same amount of patience for struggling players
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 05:48 PM) Stewart's the first one in AAA when Danks comes back. I think Quintana and Humber stay. I hope to god we don't f*** another guy (Quintana) by putting him in the pen for no reason
  4. You know when you're up 10-0 you're supposed to miss over the plate, right?
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 05:46 PM) The punchout on the previous AB for Danks was a joke though, the base umpire couldn't even see what happened with the shadows/light playing tricks on him. Not to mention the pitch he just struck out on was a pretty tough pitch
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 05:05 PM) I'm ok with pulling Sale after this inning, honestly. If we are going to truly practice innings management with him, there's no reason to push him today. I'm an anti-innings limit guy. There's no way to know what kind of innings limit to put in there. I would look at number of starts and number of pitches/start as the best measure. Shouldn't be Chris's fault that he pitches efficiently.
  7. Glad the Herm Schneider Fan Club showed up today
  8. It was bound to happen against this team. BTW, no homers and we're still winning with a lot of runs
  9. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:25 PM) Gavin Floyd and Phil Humber lol
  10. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:05 PM) Problem is we have 2 of the worst pitchers in the league on this roster right now. Doesnt really help when trying to win games. Offense going through a slump was to be expected. Who are they?
  11. Good job by the bottom third. BTW, Jordan Danks does not suck.
  12. Dunn should keep doing that until they move the shift over
  13. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:52 AM) Why not start BL? I know that is a righty. But isn't Brent still ahead of Jordan in the depth chart. I doubt it. Danks may have immediately became our best bench player.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:58 AM) Forget it. He was awful there. The kid is a 1B/DH in waiting. He's an adequate LF I'll accept that
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) I'd rather release Viciedo than move him back to 3b. Imagine how much better our lineup would be this year and moving forward if he could man the hot corner adequately... but I doubt that he can, especially midseason and all that
  16. I'm not saying this would happen, but I'd like us to get a starting five that looks like this: PG - Derrick SG - Kobe SF - Durant PF - Taj (f*** you Boozer!) C - Dwight Howard /green /allbullsfans
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) I just can't imagine them wanting to put all that pressure on Viciedo when he's finally comfortable defensively in the outfield and improving. It's just not fair to move a guy from 3B to 1B to RF to LF. This can be tough. Your second sentence says it all. If we see Gordo go anywhere, it may be SS at some point down the road (not this year unless there is an injury) For offense, we're much more likely to have a replacement in LF than 3B or 2B. DV may well be the worst 3B ever which makes the point moot, but Jordan Danks may well be a somewhat productive outfielder. He's immensely talented, young, and was having a hell of a year when we gave him a call.
  18. We'll get about 2 more weeks of Hudson, all the while actively looking at outside sources of 3B. It wouldn't shock me if DV gets work there behind the scenes. If O-Dog turns things around, you'll probably see us stay the course.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) Santiago continues his run of just getting bombed in the last inning of a game (worded that way to account for the Cespedes debacle). We completely f***ed him and Stewart both. Both career starters that had a chance to put things together with another year of experience and instead they're both wasting away in new roles at the highest level of baseball.
