It was bound to happen against this team. BTW, no homers and we're still winning with a lot of runs

QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:05 PM) Problem is we have 2 of the worst pitchers in the league on this roster right now. Doesnt really help when trying to win games. Offense going through a slump was to be expected. Who are they?

Good job by the bottom third. BTW, Jordan Danks does not suck.

Dunn should keep doing that until they move the shift over

Chris forgetting that he has a changeup.

QUOTE (sunofgold @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:52 AM) Why not start BL? I know that is a righty. But isn't Brent still ahead of Jordan in the depth chart. I doubt it. Danks may have immediately became our best bench player.

Sox sign Orlando Hudson
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:58 AM) Forget it. He was awful there. The kid is a 1B/DH in waiting. He's an adequate LF I'll accept that

Sox sign Orlando Hudson
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) I'd rather release Viciedo than move him back to 3b. Imagine how much better our lineup would be this year and moving forward if he could man the hot corner adequately... but I doubt that he can, especially midseason and all that

2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
I'm not saying this would happen, but I'd like us to get a starting five that looks like this: PG - Derrick SG - Kobe SF - Durant PF - Taj (f*** you Boozer!) C - Dwight Howard /green /allbullsfans

Sox sign Orlando Hudson
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) I just can't imagine them wanting to put all that pressure on Viciedo when he's finally comfortable defensively in the outfield and improving. It's just not fair to move a guy from 3B to 1B to RF to LF. This can be tough. Your second sentence says it all. If we see Gordo go anywhere, it may be SS at some point down the road (not this year unless there is an injury) For offense, we're much more likely to have a replacement in LF than 3B or 2B. DV may well be the worst 3B ever which makes the point moot, but Jordan Danks may well be a somewhat productive outfielder. He's immensely talented, young, and was having a hell of a year when we gave him a call.
-
Sox sign Orlando Hudson
We'll get about 2 more weeks of Hudson, all the while actively looking at outside sources of 3B. It wouldn't shock me if DV gets work there behind the scenes. If O-Dog turns things around, you'll probably see us stay the course.

Cue the Dunn bomb

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) Santiago continues his run of just getting bombed in the last inning of a game (worded that way to account for the Cespedes debacle). We completely f***ed him and Stewart both. Both career starters that had a chance to put things together with another year of experience and instead they're both wasting away in new roles at the highest level of baseball.

You all hate our bullpen when our worst guys blow it but I never hear a peep when Jones-Thornton-Crain-Reed shut it down (may not be a better top 4 bullpen guys out there) and the rest of those guys are what you expect -- sometimes on, sometimes off. Paying much of anything for a bullpen arm would be very superfluous at this point. Brian Bruney is not a bad 5th reliever, might as well let him have that role. Usually Ohman does a good job against lefties, not tonight. Stewart does fine as a long man, but I wouldn't mind letting him start in the minors instead if we've got somebody else.

Why is this umpire giving us nothing? blah

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 10:05 PM) By the 3rd. Some pitchers, particularly ones that have done it their whole life, struggle converting to having to warm up in a matter of minutes and pitching with irregularity. Put an exclamation point on it when you have to make that change in the major leagues. Tough to have all of your pitches, etc especially when he just threw his first screwball last season. He's almost completely abandoned it this year in favor of a changeup (easier pitch to find release point on out of pen)

Dear Hector, I'm really sorry about what the White Sox did to you. Hopefully they will see the light and bring up Brian Bruney and one of the other AAA guys have a decent season out of the bullpen to replace you and Zach Stewart
