  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 05:03 PM)
    I'm just not a homer who thinks this team is the best ever.

    You don't have to think that but have a little faith in a team that is 28 games over .500 and had not been swept until the series right before The All Star Break. Every team goes through stuff like this and this team has shown they can rebound. They will make the playoffs.

  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 04:59 PM)
    But..but..but..but...we have the best record in baseball.  GMAFB, it's very obvious that this team will have some serious issues in the 2nd half if they aren't addressed.  If Crede's back injury lingers, we're f***ED with our current roster.

    GMAFB.

    Yes, the best record in baseball. Dear God, every team goes through s*** like this.

  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 01:53 AM)
    Had Winamp on shuffle came up with another.

    Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train

    "ALL ABOARD!!!" followed by a psycotic laugh.

    by the time you hit the guitar solo the crowd is going f***ing crazy and the batter on deck has pissed himself.

    :notworthy :headbang

  4. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 08:49 PM)
    well the hope is this offseason that Dye plays in some summer league and gets some time at 1B and than he can probably be our starting 1B with Gload as a backup 1B.

    Um...................isn't what is goin gon right now the summer league and how can he play 1B in the summer league if it's the offseason ad that's fall and winter? :P :bang

  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 05:30 PM)
    Im about 5'11, 150, and I go 44.

    BTW, if your going to get a jersey, get an authentic, not a replica. With a replica, they do a s***ty job with the letters on the back, there not the real letters, and you can tell. Go Authentic.

    I disagree. I had a replica home jersey done at Grandstand with Crede and it was very nicely done.

  6. If this doesn't belong here, please move it.

    I just read on espn.com, that Mike Stanton and Paul Quantrill will be relased soon. Is it worth it to take a chance on either of these guys?> Both are having horrible seasons to this point?

  7. QUOTE(go-sox05 @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 09:02 AM)
    im not worried, the sox and cubs usually split the games they play every year.  We need to focus on the AL central now.  I want beat up on the Tigers and take down Oakland.

    Any chance while were in Oakland we can leave Joe Crede and Take Chavez.

    Any chance we can leave you in Oakland? :chair

  8. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 08:43 AM)
    50-24!!  Relax people....I was at the game Sunday...yes it sucked we lost...it was f***ing miserably hot...we weren't hitting...we had tons of piss ants in our park, but it's not Armageddon people.  Prior was on fire.  I know we made some mistakes, but that's part of baseball.

    Why is it when Garland or Buehrle pitch awesome...then we give credit to them for bringing it, but when an other teams pitcher has a great day...we say it's cause our hitters suck.  Sometimes a pitcher is just on fire, whether they are on our side or theirs.  Usually we can manufacture a run on those days...it just didn't get done today.  We move on to Detroit and start another streak.  No need to trade the team, change philosophies, etc etc etc

    The sox will be fine.

    Nice Post :cheers

  9. QUOTE(Lefty Of Love @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 06:17 PM)
    The best part is when Carlton Fisk tags out two guys coming into homeplate.  That's the only part I make sure never to miss.

    With Fisk being my favorite player, I love that part and where they show Bo Jackson riding the Harley into him. I also especially like when they show Old Comsikey and New Comiskey side by side. I have no idea why I like that so much, I just really do.

  10. Unreal. They are 9.5 up on Minnesota and 26 games over.500. People calm down, this team will bounce back, they always do. 8-4 on this homestand and people are b****ing. They are gonna lose series, I don't care who it's to. :gosox1:

  11. I really appreciate everyone's help:

    Just to clarify.

    I55 North to Dan Ryan South (Toward Indiana)

    Exit 35th St

    Past 35th St towards 37th and will be waved in just before 37th

    Also:

    Is the Dan Ryan 355 or 294 or somethign else? I'm actually better with the numbers and is this a lot you have to pay in?

  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 07:57 AM)
    Earlier I felt that we should wait on AJ just to see how things go.  Well, I'm convinced.  AJ is an asset to this club and they need to lock him up longer.  That said, now is not the time to do it.  We are in a pennant race and all is going well.  If they start negotiating and it turm nasty, that could cause problems at the worst possible time.  We hold a club option for next year, so he can't bolt.  Let's sve this for the offseason.

    Totally agree Yas. The Sox like to avoid arbitration, AJ wants to stay and The Sox want him. This will get done in late October after The World Series Parade :gosox1:

  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 10:44 AM)
    It's off the Dan Ryan..

    Take 55 North to the Dan Ryan South (towards Indiana) and get off at 35th street.. go past 35th street (park will be on your right) and you'll see them waving you in just before 37th street.

    Thanks for the tip, does the church fill up fast? I'm still not sure what time I'm leaving for the game.

  14. QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 10:29 AM)
    it's hard for me to agree that a team that didn't get in would be a tough out.

    I see your point, but that Sox team could have taken The Yankees or Boston, IMO. The only team they couldn't beat, was of course, The Twins
