Sox turned down Ponson for Crede
You act like it's wrong to be very strong at the bottom of a rotation. I think with him we'b be damn near unstoppable.

Why do you guys think about this as...
Graves would be nice. It was a bad idea to let him start, considering how well he closed last year.

I wonder what the financial situation on Appier is. I'd like to take a chance on him as a fifth starter. It's a wonder that the Angels flat out released him. I would think that they could get SOMETHING for him at this time when teams are hunting another starter. I guess yesterday when he gave up five straight 2-strike hits they'd had enough.

Koch pitching simulated game
Actually, I saw someone else throwing a simulated games on Sportscenter or baseball tonight a few days ago, just really briefly. there were hitters, and runners on base. No catcher, and the BP cage was around. I don't think they were really trying to get baserips, but they were there nonetheless.

When I come in a few weeks, I'll be staying at the Hyatt Regency. We will not be renting a car. How shall I get to the ballpark?

I have great news!
Whoa. This surprises me. I always thought Seattle has the best and one of the loudest crowd. I live in their FSN zone, so I watcxh their game every night. Almost every single game they get over 40,000. They surpassed the 2 million mark over the weekend. Last night, a Tuesday, with the Tigers in town, they got over 37,000. They come out and they support. I was at Game 5 vs. the Indians in 2001, and I've never been a part of a more electric crowd. It was incredible. I wish we had something like that in Chicago.

Jose Guillen traded
Sorry, but the Rangers aren't involved. Jose Guillen comes from the Reds.

Sox turned down Ponson for Crede
Peter Gammons said last night that we were close to acquiring Aaron Boone. He didn't say for who, but I would imagine Crede would have been in there. He also quoted KW as to saying he was "heart broken" about having lost out in the Scott Williason sweepstakes. That would have been nice to get him.

I have great news!
Colon is starting Friday? Oh, I guess because of the off day we are skipping the fifth spot, right? But that puts (Schoeneweis?) in there on Saturday?

I have great news!
I was just sitting here, and then the telephone rings. It was my mother, saying she had gotten a hotel in Seattle this weekend! I will be at the Saturday and Sunday games! Yipee! I'm thoroughly excited, because I haven't been to a MLB game since October, 2001. I believe Colon and Buehrle will be starting in those games against Ryan Franklin and Gil Meche. It should be great!

Crede singles to right, 1st and 3rd. I would take Robbie with my choice of cycle.
